Monthly Musings: December 2025

 Happy Wednesday! Posting a day early, but I will link up on Thursday with Holly and Patty for the LAST Monthly Musings of 2025!!

1. What holidays do you celebrate? Advent/Christmas!

2. Scale of 1-10-- how into the holidays are you this year? Be honest.

I love the "be honest" aspect....I really do LOVE the holidays, though! I'm going with 10/10!

3. Favorite things to make/bake during the holidays? Fudge, cookies, sausage balls, dips.....all the yummy foods!

4. Favorite holiday movies?

I shared this a couple years ago, and it's still pretty spot on!

5. Most random holiday tradition? I have several children's Christmas books from years past, and I always sit and read a couple after I put out my decor. Just me, to myself. Kind of random, I guess!

6. Are you hosting for the holidays? NYE or day? Nope. Nope. Nope. Ha!

7. Favorite way to ring in the new year?

With good apps, drinks, and I like to stay up until midnight!

8. Any new year's resolutions or word of the year? Read more! I think I may try to read the "Read With Jenna" pick every month. *Try*. As for a word, I usually pick a few at random, but I haven't done that quite yet.

9. Favorite holiday songs? A mix of classic and new. Anything from "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" (has to be Andy Williams!) to "A Nonsense Christmas" by Sabrina Carpenter!

10. Favorite holiday memory?

When I was a kid and still believed....My favorite thing to do was track Santa on Norad. That is something I always think about each Christmas! (I will always believe in Santa Claus, for the record😉....and praise Jesus for braces😂)

Well, that was fun! I hope you all have a very MERRY day!!

  1. Christmas really does have the yummiest food! I love your list of Christmas movies, they are a lot of my favourites too.
    Aww! What a sweet photo of you when you were little. My girls used to love tracking Santa on Norad.

Friday Favorites {6.6.25}

 Happy Friday, friends!! How was your week? One of my summer classes started this week, so I have been getting back into a bit of a routine which is nice! As always, I am linking up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from the week.  How cute is our new wreath sash?? My mom got it for us, and I am obsessed! Lots of food faves this week.... Another salsa I am now obsessed with! I found this at Aldi, and y'all it is SO good! I used it in a recipe, but I am definitely going to get another jar to eat for a snack or with lunch or dinner! Now for a Tik Tok "recipe". I used quotations, because it's really just a chop/open a can and throw together situation. Corn, black beans, pinto beans, onion, tomato, cilantro. I ate it with tortilla chips for lunch this week. It was so good! Next time, I would add more tomato and use less onion (maybe even no onion at all), and I should have chopped up the cilantro a little better! I also squeezed in some lime juice and added salt a...

Friday Favorites {8.29.25}

 Happy last Friday of August! As always, I am here to link up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from my week.  To be honest, it feels out of touch to make this post. After the devastating news of yet another school shooting, my heart is so heavy. Innocent lives taken and still no changes from people in power. I honestly do not know how anyone can see news like this and not be enraged and demanding for change. I do not get political on here, because that is not what I want for this space. However, I feel the need to share my thoughts about this. America needs gun control. ALL Americans need access to healthcare, especially when it comes to mental health. America needs change. Remember these things when you vote. Think about your babies, their friends, their teachers. Stay aware, stay educated. But also please make sure you spend time doing things that bring you joy (it's good for your mental health!). That is at least what I am going to do. With that being said, here ar...
