Hello Monday {1.12.26}

 Happy Monday!! As always, I am linking up with Holly and Sarah today for Hello Monday and to share about my weekend!

I started my Friday off my coming home to my new fancy candle! Very very much a huge splurge, but I have been dying to buy one of these candles for a couple of years and I had some Christmas money burning a hole in my pocket 😬. I am obsessed!! It smells amazing! (I got the max 16 size)

Caleb picked up OEC for us for dinner. YUM. Perfect night in with wine and Desperate Housewives!

Love this view 😍. I sat here and waited until my candle burned evenly before blowing it out 😂.

Saturday morning, I got some laundry started and did the dishes before hoping on the Peloton. Loved this 15 minute low impact class!

OOTD. Love this new sweatshirt I got from Loft when we were in Vegas! Ooooh, I want the matching pants too!

We made goat cheese and penne for dinner and watched one of our favorite movies- Just Go With It. Had me wanting to plan a trip to Hawaii!

Sunday, we drove to Tupelo to have Chili's for lunch and grab a few things from Sam's. When we got back to Starkville, we headed to Kroger for gas and groceries.

We had a very chill weekend, and I always appreciate that! Have a great Monday!

  1. What the heck happened to that rice? They should have given it to you for free.

    1. Are you the same person constantly commenting negativity on my blog? Maybe you shouldn't read here anymore. Clearly, everything I do bothers you. Have a great day!

    2. The candle looks nice. I'm a good cook, and rice turned into a stodgy mushy goo is just plain wrong.

    3. It certainly was not sludgy, mushy goo. Maybe you are just getting confused by it being covered in a sauce. If I didn’t like it, I wouldn’t have posted about it and said yum.

  2. Sounds like the perfect winter weekend! Oh my gosh I am so intrigued by that candle- where did you get it? What does it smell like? :)

    1. I ordered it from Baobab Collection! There is a girl I follow on IG who is always raving about them…I took a chance on the smell by ordering online, but it’s so good! It’s described as solar and aquatic- it’s kind of a bright, fresh, and salty smell. Smells like summer to me!

  3. So glad to hear I'm not the only one that tries to wait until the melted candle is perfectly level before blowing it out! That is one of my all time favorite movies and it does make me want to go to Hawaii each time I watch.

    1. Haha! I can’t stand when they’re uneven- UGH.

    2. I make candles as my part time job - you should always burn them until the entire surface is melted so you don't waste any - especially if you splurged out like that! ;)
      If it tunnels you're leaving all the wax on the sides.

    3. Ok what a fun job!! And yes the waste is what I can’t stand the most!

Let's Look: January 2026

 Happy Wednesday!! Let's Look is one of my very favorite blog link ups and after not doing it last year, I am ready for it in 2026! I am linking up with Shay and Erika for this monthly series! Today, we are LOOKING at..... THINGS WE OUTSOURCE WITHOUT REGRET. Ok, there are so many things you can outsource that I just would rather do myself. I love to grocery shop. I think I would be weirded out by someone else doing my laundry. A house keeper is just not something we currently need or really want. BUT, there are occasions when outsourcing is just what needs to be done. Grocery Delivery/Pickup We don't do this often, but when we do it's pretty nice. That being said, I am usually ready to get back in the grocery store myself! Food Delivery This is another one we do not do often, but a Wednesday free delivery from Wingstop has sucked me in a few times 😂. And of course, pizza delivery is always nice! Plus, we can get food delivered to the school I work out, so that's nice e...

Friday Favorites {4.2.26}

 Happy THURSDAY. My days are getting so mixed up with a Friday holiday haha! Posting Friday Faves a day early since tomorrow is Good Friday. Whoop whoop! We're getting a 7Brew!! I'm gonna let the new wear off before I go, but dang I am so excited for this! Have y'all tried it?? My sister gave me this MacKenzie Child's cookie jar for my bday and I love!! I made some white chocolate, peanut, and M&M clusters and they looked so cute in it! I will try just about anything once haha, but I finally jumped on the Tik Tok bandwagon and grabbed this facial brush for lymphatic drainage. My mind could very easily be playing tricks on me, but I'm gonna say I see a difference! Got mind from Amazon! And I cannot close out this post without mentioning Autism Awareness and Acceptance Month! Please, please, please educate yourself on what it means to have Autism, how to explain it to your children, how to advocate, how to include, how to help- all the things!! Please remember, if...

Friday Favorites {12.19.25}

 And just like that.....it's CHRISTMAS BREAK! And my last post of 2025! But before all of that, let's get into some faves from my week! Linking up with Erika and Andrea. Some Christmas funnies for ya.... 😂😂😂 "Underground Spirit Week" We dress up or do something silly and the students have no idea, so it's constant confusion and laughter! So fun! Monday- PJ day. Tuesday-  Anything but a bag. Wednesday- Favorite Christmas song or movie character. Oh Christmas Tree, Rocking Around the Christmas Tree, or as one student said...the Rockefeller Christmas Tree! My name is Maddie, and I am obsessed with good smelling laundry.... These both smell AMAZING. The Wicked one smells exactly like the perfume I have been wearing- Jo Malone English Pear and Sweet Pea. Makes me sad that it's limited edition... I was looking for some go...
