Hello Monday {1.26.26}

 Happy Monday, friends! I am linking up with Holly and Sarah today to share about my weekend.

This weekend was heavy. The things that are happening in the U.S., specifically Minnesota, are not okay. I never intended for this space to be anything other than happy or positive, but I don't feel good about about continuing to post without at least mentioning that I do not support these things going on. I do not support ICE, and I do not support this current administration. Just please know that this is a safe space, no matter what. 💗

With the "winter storm" we were expecting, we hunkered down this weekend. As I am typing this post, we have only gotten light rain and super cold temps. My school is closed today due to the threat of icy roads, so we'll see!

Friday night, I made super easy french dip sliders- Hawaiian rolls with roast beef and provolone, served with Au Jus gravy.

Saturday morning coffee before we ran to Walmart to grab some snacks and things for the weekend and this week.

I have never seen this flavor Chobani creamer before- so good!

More coffee and laying in bed.

Caleb ran to get his work computer and came back with wine- ha!

Desperate Housewives all day- yes please! I certainly did not take the safety and warmth of my home for granted this weekend.

This doesn't look super appetizing, but I made green chile enchilada soup for dinner. It sure tasted good!

We had a little bit of ice Saturday night, but it was gone by Sunday morning.

Coffee and Friends on Sunday morning. Sometimes it's nice to be forced to slow down.....

I changed from pjs into....

fancier pjs??😂

And this was my dinner last night while watching Bad Moms. Why not?!

I hope you all had a safe and warm weekend! Here's to a new week that hopefully brings nothing but peace and goodness. 💗

  1. That 2 piece set is so cute! We had snow all day yesterday and are supposed to get up to another 3-5 inches today so I"ll be spending another day around the house.

    1. Thank you!! Wow! I wish we were getting snow instead of ice. Stay warm!

  2. I'm so sorry about the heaviness for our country, especially for people in Minnesota. I was watching videos yesterday, and what I saw was horrific. It reminded me of WW2 with the Nazis, honestly. It's not okay.

    On a much lighter note, I'm so glad you're safely at home and warm. I am too! My school canceled on Saturday for today; I don't think we'll be able to open all week, and if we do it'll be a miracle. We have nothing but ice, at least ten inches, and won't get above freezing until a week from today. Yikes! Stay cozy, sweet friend and enjoy your binge watching and wine!

  3. I have watched the news about what is happening in the US and it is awful. The current administration has a lot to answer for. It's not right and it's not OK.
    What a cosy weekend! That creamer sounds good and well done Caleb for stocking up on the wine!

    1. It's truly so terrible, meanwhile there are people who are turning a blind eye.
      It was a really nice and slow weekend! He sure knows the way to my heart lol.

  4. Pericles said it best..."Just because you do not take an interest in politics, does not mean that politics won't be interested in you" indicating the dangers of apathy and the need for peaceful activism to counter tyranny. Education is power, you may want to check out the site "Political Wire" which is one of the best news aggregates/analysis sites on the internet. It's a left leaning site, however as a moderate Republican fed up with this administrations' march toward fascism, I've found it to be a valuable resource.

    1. Yes, so true. Everyone is going to be affected by this in some way. Thank you for sharing that site. I will check it out!

  5. It is so horrifying what's happening here - and more horrifying that so many people are excusing it. I also change into my fancier pjs when it's stormy - I always say I'm putting on my daytime pajamas. ;)

    1. That has frustrated me so much recently....there are people that literally do not care what is happening, and I don't get it.
      Daytime pajamas...I love it!!

Let's Look: January 2026

 Happy Wednesday!! Let's Look is one of my very favorite blog link ups and after not doing it last year, I am ready for it in 2026! I am linking up with Shay and Erika for this monthly series! Today, we are LOOKING at..... THINGS WE OUTSOURCE WITHOUT REGRET. Ok, there are so many things you can outsource that I just would rather do myself. I love to grocery shop. I think I would be weirded out by someone else doing my laundry. A house keeper is just not something we currently need or really want. BUT, there are occasions when outsourcing is just what needs to be done. Grocery Delivery/Pickup We don't do this often, but when we do it's pretty nice. That being said, I am usually ready to get back in the grocery store myself! Food Delivery This is another one we do not do often, but a Wednesday free delivery from Wingstop has sucked me in a few times 😂. And of course, pizza delivery is always nice! Plus, we can get food delivered to the school I work out, so that's nice e...

Friday Favorites {4.2.26}

 Happy THURSDAY. My days are getting so mixed up with a Friday holiday haha! Posting Friday Faves a day early since tomorrow is Good Friday. Whoop whoop! We're getting a 7Brew!! I'm gonna let the new wear off before I go, but dang I am so excited for this! Have y'all tried it?? My sister gave me this MacKenzie Child's cookie jar for my bday and I love!! I made some white chocolate, peanut, and M&M clusters and they looked so cute in it! I will try just about anything once haha, but I finally jumped on the Tik Tok bandwagon and grabbed this facial brush for lymphatic drainage. My mind could very easily be playing tricks on me, but I'm gonna say I see a difference! Got mind from Amazon! And I cannot close out this post without mentioning Autism Awareness and Acceptance Month! Please, please, please educate yourself on what it means to have Autism, how to explain it to your children, how to advocate, how to include, how to help- all the things!! Please remember, if...
