Hot Springs {Part One}

Happy Thursday, friends! Today I am going to share part one of our trip to Hot Springs, Arkansas!

I thought I could get every thing in one post, but goodness I took more pics than I thought!

Friday, December 19

We headed out right after Caleb got home for work. We grabbed Starbucks on our way out- thanks to a student for the gift card!!

Love a good sunset pic! And hello Mississippi River!

We got there a little after 8 and had Papa Johns waiting on us- plus my family!

Legos with Reid man!

Saturday, December 20

Donuts from Shipley's for breakfast- YUM.

We took our time getting ready for the day and deciding on what we would do. Amazon set for the win! And excuse our room....how did we manage to get it this messy day 1??😂😂

Mid-America Science Museum! We all enjoyed this!

Back to the house and wine time! We all sat around to watch the Ole Miss game, and I read as well.

Reid decided we needed a fire for the night! He loves to climb a tree, lol. We made s'mores and chatted for a while.

Here is the AirBNB link to the house we stayed in! The location of the house was a bit odd (right next to a fast food restaurant, lol), but it was fairly close to everything we did. Plus, it was right by a grocery store.

Have a great day!

  1. AirBNB aren't a good option for traveling, many of them have bedbugs.

    1. We didn't run into any issues! I have heard the same thing about hotels- luck of the draw I suppose!

  3. Is this Hot Springs, Arkansas? If so, I love it there! I went there for years with my own family while I was married, plus I grew up going all the time with my dad. I loved seeing all of your pictures! It looks like such a fun time with family for the holidays.

Happy Friday, friends!! How was your week? One of my summer classes started this week, so I have been getting back into a bit of a routine which is nice! As always, I am linking up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from the week.  How cute is our new wreath sash?? My mom got it for us, and I am obsessed! Lots of food faves this week.... Another salsa I am now obsessed with! I found this at Aldi, and y'all it is SO good! I used it in a recipe, but I am definitely going to get another jar to eat for a snack or with lunch or dinner! Now for a Tik Tok "recipe". I used quotations, because it's really just a chop/open a can and throw together situation. Corn, black beans, pinto beans, onion, tomato, cilantro. I ate it with tortilla chips for lunch this week. It was so good! Next time, I would add more tomato and use less onion (maybe even no onion at all), and I should have chopped up the cilantro a little better! I also squeezed in some lime juice and added salt a...

Happy Friday, friends!! And Merry Christmas Eve Eve Eve Eve Eve- that's a thing, right??😂 I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from the week, and then I will be off for the holidays! My plan is to see y'all back here on January 13! For some food faves.... I grabbed the raspberry kringle at Aldi the other day after seeing so many positive reviews on it. It is really good!! I had some with a cup of coffee a couple times this week! Last night, Caleb made lasagna soup- YUM. Definitely a favorite of mine lately! A great way to end the night.... Caleb made me a cosmopolitan the other night. Yum! I am really going to miss this sight.... This is my favorite time of year for sure! Twinkly lights and candle light = the BEST. On my drive home from work yesterday.... This was a fun little surprise. I don't remember this from last year! I hope you all have a great weekend and a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday! However, whatever, whenever, whereve...

Happy last Friday of August! As always, I am here to link up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from my week.  To be honest, it feels out of touch to make this post. After the devastating news of yet another school shooting, my heart is so heavy. Innocent lives taken and still no changes from people in power. I honestly do not know how anyone can see news like this and not be enraged and demanding for change. I do not get political on here, because that is not what I want for this space. However, I feel the need to share my thoughts about this. America needs gun control. ALL Americans need access to healthcare, especially when it comes to mental health. America needs change. Remember these things when you vote. Think about your babies, their friends, their teachers. Stay aware, stay educated. But also please make sure you spend time doing things that bring you joy (it's good for your mental health!). That is at least what I am going to do. With that being said, here ar...
