Let's Look: January 2026

Happy Wednesday!! Let's Look is one of my very favorite blog link ups and after not doing it last year, I am ready for it in 2026! I am linking up with Shay and Erika for this monthly series!

Today, we are LOOKING at.....

THINGS WE OUTSOURCE WITHOUT REGRET.

Ok, there are so many things you can outsource that I just would rather do myself. I love to grocery shop. I think I would be weirded out by someone else doing my laundry. A house keeper is just not something we currently need or really want. BUT, there are occasions when outsourcing is just what needs to be done.

Grocery Delivery/Pickup

We don't do this often, but when we do it's pretty nice. That being said, I am usually ready to get back in the grocery store myself!

Food Delivery

This is another one we do not do often, but a Wednesday free delivery from Wingstop has sucked me in a few times 😂. And of course, pizza delivery is always nice! Plus, we can get food delivered to the school I work out, so that's nice every now and then.

Car Wash/Detail

Umm, there's simply no way I am going to get outside and wash my car- ha! I mean, every now and then I will take a damp microfiber cloth to the screens and such. But that's it.

Produce/Bread

I feel that we are in the age of homemade bread and gardens. Yeah. Not my style. I would rather just grab from the store.

Catered Food

This is technically one my mom does- I just benefit from it 😉. For the holidays, she gets food catered. She has found someone who makes exclusively gluten free, dairy free, and vegan foods and desserts. They are always delicious, and it's so much less work for everyone.

Lunch/Dinner

I guess this counts, right?? If we don't feel like cooking, we go out. It really is nice to be able to do that so often, and I know we definitely take it for granted some times. It is especially nice on the weekends!

Travel Agent

I am so not a travel planner. Caleb and I have only been on one trip- our honeymoon- that we needed a travel agent for, and it was so nice to not have to do anything! Now, the person we used was awful- there was no record of our hotel reservation once we got to MEXICO. But it ended well, lol. When we go somewhere big like that again, we will definitely use a travel agency! (Most definitely a different one from our honeymoon trip😂)

Well that was fun! I have missed this link up! Have a great Wednesday!

  1. Thank you for sharing, Jenn! Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do- no shame in that!! Have a great day 🩷🩷

  2. 2 things I outsource: weekly housecleaning. I have done this since I was single and living in a 350 square foot Manhattan apartment. I absolutely hate scrubbing and so over the years have given up other things to keep that one! I still have to do maintenance, of course, but I don't have to scrub the shower ;). And the other is driving lessons for my teens! I was far too nervous to be their driving instructor

  3. I get my groceries delivered every week and I couldn't imagine having to walk around a supermarket doing all the hard work. How great that your mom gets catered food for the holidays! I would love that!

  4. I've had lots of fun reading all these... I am hoping to start participating in Let's Look again but gosh we don't really outsource anything! I mean we do eat out once a month or so but that's about it... We have used a travel agent a couple of time but mostly I plan out our trips (even when using her! LOL I Often send her an email with the flight times, hotel, etc. and all she really does is book/coordinate it all).

    1. It was definitely fun to see what others are outsourcing- there are so many things I didn't realize people weren't doing themselves!

Friday Favorites {6.6.25}

Happy Friday, friends!! How was your week? One of my summer classes started this week, so I have been getting back into a bit of a routine which is nice! As always, I am linking up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from the week.  How cute is our new wreath sash?? My mom got it for us, and I am obsessed! Lots of food faves this week.... Another salsa I am now obsessed with! I found this at Aldi, and y'all it is SO good! I used it in a recipe, but I am definitely going to get another jar to eat for a snack or with lunch or dinner! Now for a Tik Tok "recipe". I used quotations, because it's really just a chop/open a can and throw together situation. Corn, black beans, pinto beans, onion, tomato, cilantro. I ate it with tortilla chips for lunch this week. It was so good! Next time, I would add more tomato and use less onion (maybe even no onion at all), and I should have chopped up the cilantro a little better! I also squeezed in some lime juice and added salt a...

Happy Friday, friends!! And Merry Christmas Eve Eve Eve Eve Eve- that's a thing, right??😂 I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from the week, and then I will be off for the holidays! My plan is to see y'all back here on January 13! For some food faves.... I grabbed the raspberry kringle at Aldi the other day after seeing so many positive reviews on it. It is really good!! I had some with a cup of coffee a couple times this week! Last night, Caleb made lasagna soup- YUM. Definitely a favorite of mine lately! A great way to end the night.... Caleb made me a cosmopolitan the other night. Yum! I am really going to miss this sight.... This is my favorite time of year for sure! Twinkly lights and candle light = the BEST. On my drive home from work yesterday.... This was a fun little surprise. I don't remember this from last year! I hope you all have a great weekend and a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday! However, whatever, whenever, whereve...
