My Post Travel Tips

 Happy Tuesday!! We are back to reality in full swing, but we had two great trips over Christmas! I don't know about you, but when I get home from a trip I have a routine I like to follow. Spoiler: It does not include unpacking immediately 😂.

1. Detox bath

I love a detox bath any night of the week, but I especially love one after I have been traveling- airports/planes, eating all the food, drinking more soda and/or alcohol than normal, etc. It just feels nice to get a bit of that out of my system. I get the water as hot as I can stand it, pour in bath salts, and drink a ton of water while I'm in there. I usually stay in about 15ish minutes.

I got these salts in Hot Springs! I also like Dr. Teal's.

2. Facial scrub

I love to use a scrub. I guess I feel dirty after a trip 😂.

I picked this one up from Trader Joe's on our Vegas trip.

3. Face mask- something hydrating!

Especially if I have traveled by plane, I like to use a hydrating mask! My skin just needs a little extra love post vacay. It follows the scrub nicely! A detox mask is also nice post travel.

4. Lots of water

I am so bad about getting my water in on vacation. Ugh! So, I try to fix a water as soon as I get home and drink drink drink! I also like to make a detox/debloat water with lemon juice, lime juice, apple cider vinegar, and himalayan salt (from @annesnowlifestyle on IG).

5. Sleep supplement

My sleep has been so disturbed after Vegas. We got home around 10:30p Thursday, and I did not fall asleep until after 2:30a. Same thing for Friday night and close to 1a on Saturday. I should have taken my sleep supplement sooner, but I finally took one Sunday night! I still took a bit to fall asleep, but I think I was out by around 10!

I think I have shared this before, but I love sleep now from Herbalife.

Have a great day!

  1. I definitely take a nice hot shower as soon as I arrive home after travel... but that's about it for post travel routine. I do tend to unpack and tackle laundry within the first 24 hours but not always right away depending on what time we actually get home.

    1. I wish I had the will power to unpack asap- ugh. I always let it sit for a day or two.

Let's Look: January 2026

 Happy Wednesday!! Let's Look is one of my very favorite blog link ups and after not doing it last year, I am ready for it in 2026! I am linking up with Shay and Erika for this monthly series! Today, we are LOOKING at..... THINGS WE OUTSOURCE WITHOUT REGRET. Ok, there are so many things you can outsource that I just would rather do myself. I love to grocery shop. I think I would be weirded out by someone else doing my laundry. A house keeper is just not something we currently need or really want. BUT, there are occasions when outsourcing is just what needs to be done. Grocery Delivery/Pickup We don't do this often, but when we do it's pretty nice. That being said, I am usually ready to get back in the grocery store myself! Food Delivery This is another one we do not do often, but a Wednesday free delivery from Wingstop has sucked me in a few times 😂. And of course, pizza delivery is always nice! Plus, we can get food delivered to the school I work out, so that's nice e...

Friday Favorites {6.6.25}

 Happy Friday, friends!! How was your week? One of my summer classes started this week, so I have been getting back into a bit of a routine which is nice! As always, I am linking up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from the week.  How cute is our new wreath sash?? My mom got it for us, and I am obsessed! Lots of food faves this week.... Another salsa I am now obsessed with! I found this at Aldi, and y'all it is SO good! I used it in a recipe, but I am definitely going to get another jar to eat for a snack or with lunch or dinner! Now for a Tik Tok "recipe". I used quotations, because it's really just a chop/open a can and throw together situation. Corn, black beans, pinto beans, onion, tomato, cilantro. I ate it with tortilla chips for lunch this week. It was so good! Next time, I would add more tomato and use less onion (maybe even no onion at all), and I should have chopped up the cilantro a little better! I also squeezed in some lime juice and added salt a...

Friday Favorites {12.20.24}

 Happy Friday, friends!! And Merry Christmas Eve Eve Eve Eve Eve- that's a thing, right??😂 I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from the week, and then I will be off for the holidays! My plan is to see y'all back here on January 13! For some food faves.... I grabbed the raspberry kringle at Aldi the other day after seeing so many positive reviews on it. It is really good!! I had some with a cup of coffee a couple times this week! Last night, Caleb made lasagna soup- YUM. Definitely a favorite of mine lately! A great way to end the night.... Caleb made me a cosmopolitan the other night. Yum! I am really going to miss this sight.... This is my favorite time of year for sure! Twinkly lights and candle light = the BEST. On my drive home from work yesterday.... This was a fun little surprise. I don't remember this from last year! I hope you all have a great weekend and a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday! However, whatever, whenever, whereve...
