What's Up Wednesday {January 2026}

 Happy Wednesday, friends! I hope you all are having a great week so far. I am here to link up with Sheaffer and Shay for the first What's Up Wednesday of 2026!

1: WHAT WE'RE EATING THIS WEEK

Cajun shrimp over fettuccine- I made this shrimp a couple weeks but served it over rice. We both decided that it would be even better over pasta! Soooo good!

Quick and easy meals for the win! These are the things we picked up in case we were iced in, so we'll just eat them this week.

2: WHAT I'M REMINISCING ABOUT

I am loving seeing everyones 2016 throw back pics, so here are a few of mine!

Can you tell by the filters that this is the year I was allowed to have Snapchat??

3: WHAT I'M LOVING

I am sooo loving not having to do any school work when I get home from work! It has been soooo nice.

4: WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO

Nothing. We have been laying pretty low on the weekends! We were so busy between Thanksgiving and Christmas that we are enjoying the down time.

5: WHAT I'M DREADING

More cold weather haha. I'm so ready for spring and summer!

6: WHAT I'M WORKING ON

Getting together my blog posts for the next couple of weeks. Please let me know if there's anything you want to see on my blog in 2026!

7: WHAT I'M EXCITED ABOUT

February!!! Whyyyy does January always feel like an eternity??

8: WHAT I'M WATCHING/READING

We are doing a rewatch of Desperate Housewives. And I am also rewatching Yes, Dear.

I started this book last summer maybe, but I took a break and finished it when we were in Las Vegas. It felt very Desperate Housewives to me, and I clearly love that!! It was really good! It will keep you on the edge of your seat for sure!

9: WHAT I'M LISTENING TO

Same old, same old. Haha!

10: WHAT I'M WEARING

I did really good with taking outfit pics for a week or so....

Random mix of school and weekend outfits.

11: WHAT I'M DOING THIS WEEKEND

Not sure....hopefully not a whole lot, but I would like to leave the house unlike last weekend!

12: WHAT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH

Valentine's Day!! Our tradition is to get Papa John's and watch the movie Valentine's Day. So simple, yet I love it so much.

13: FAVORITE PURCHASE THIS MONTH

Gotta be my fancy candle! I finally took the plunge and treated myself to a Baobab candle with some Christmas money. Very much a splurge, but it smells amazing!

Have a great Wednesday!!

Friday Favorites {6.6.25}

 Happy Friday, friends!! How was your week? One of my summer classes started this week, so I have been getting back into a bit of a routine which is nice! As always, I am linking up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from the week.  How cute is our new wreath sash?? My mom got it for us, and I am obsessed! Lots of food faves this week.... Another salsa I am now obsessed with! I found this at Aldi, and y'all it is SO good! I used it in a recipe, but I am definitely going to get another jar to eat for a snack or with lunch or dinner! Now for a Tik Tok "recipe". I used quotations, because it's really just a chop/open a can and throw together situation. Corn, black beans, pinto beans, onion, tomato, cilantro. I ate it with tortilla chips for lunch this week. It was so good! Next time, I would add more tomato and use less onion (maybe even no onion at all), and I should have chopped up the cilantro a little better! I also squeezed in some lime juice and added salt a...

Let's Look: January 2026

 Happy Wednesday!! Let's Look is one of my very favorite blog link ups and after not doing it last year, I am ready for it in 2026! I am linking up with Shay and Erika for this monthly series! Today, we are LOOKING at..... THINGS WE OUTSOURCE WITHOUT REGRET. Ok, there are so many things you can outsource that I just would rather do myself. I love to grocery shop. I think I would be weirded out by someone else doing my laundry. A house keeper is just not something we currently need or really want. BUT, there are occasions when outsourcing is just what needs to be done. Grocery Delivery/Pickup We don't do this often, but when we do it's pretty nice. That being said, I am usually ready to get back in the grocery store myself! Food Delivery This is another one we do not do often, but a Wednesday free delivery from Wingstop has sucked me in a few times 😂. And of course, pizza delivery is always nice! Plus, we can get food delivered to the school I work out, so that's nice e...

Friday Favorites {12.20.24}

 Happy Friday, friends!! And Merry Christmas Eve Eve Eve Eve Eve- that's a thing, right??😂 I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from the week, and then I will be off for the holidays! My plan is to see y'all back here on January 13! For some food faves.... I grabbed the raspberry kringle at Aldi the other day after seeing so many positive reviews on it. It is really good!! I had some with a cup of coffee a couple times this week! Last night, Caleb made lasagna soup- YUM. Definitely a favorite of mine lately! A great way to end the night.... Caleb made me a cosmopolitan the other night. Yum! I am really going to miss this sight.... This is my favorite time of year for sure! Twinkly lights and candle light = the BEST. On my drive home from work yesterday.... This was a fun little surprise. I don't remember this from last year! I hope you all have a great weekend and a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday! However, whatever, whenever, whereve...
