Currently: February 2026

 Happy Wednesday!! It's time to link up with Amy for Currently!

Today we are talking about the things we are currently loving, baking/cooking, watching/reading, planning, and savoring.

Loving.

Linen scent. I got this linen scented candle at Costco last summer, and I am really loving the scent right now. It obviously smells very fresh and clean, and I feel like that's the perfect scent for the new year! It's also close to being gone, so I am planning to use the votive as a flower vase.

Baking/Cooking.

I've been trying to cook more lately! We actually just got in a Hello Fresh box yesterday. I will update on how the meals were later this week or next!

Watching/Reading.

Watching Desperate Housewives and Schitt's Creek, and I have fallen off the wagon with my reading. Ugh! I need to step up my game.

Planning.

New York girls trip! Not sure when it's going to happen- may not even be this year- but I know what we're doing and where we're eating lol!

Savoring.

I am very much savoring this time where I am not in school. It has been really nice to come home from work and not have to get to work on school stuff. I do still have things I need to do some afternoons, but there is luckily time to sit and do absolutely nothing!

Have a great Wednesday!

  1. Tell me more about your NYC girls trip! I have one planned this year as well, for my 50th birthday trip with my sisters. We'll go sometime at the first part of December. I can't wait!

    1. Funny story- My sister got an NYC trip from our mom for her 16th birthday....in 2020. And we still haven't been lol. I gathered together several restaurants that I've heard great things about from blogs and Tik Tok. Lots of shopping and a couple of museums!

  3. That candle looks so pretty and I love the sound of the scent.
    I hope you are enjoying the Hello Fresh box. I get a similar box most weeks and love trying new recipes.
    How lovely to have some time to sit and do nothing!

  5. How fun to go to NYC! There are so many decisions involved I think you just have to make them and be done! I have a love/hate relationship with trip planning because of my overthinking.
    Glad you have had time at home! So nice in the winter! Let us know about Hello Fresh - did it a long time ago! Thanks for linking up!

Friday Favorites {6.6.25}

 Happy Friday, friends!! How was your week? One of my summer classes started this week, so I have been getting back into a bit of a routine which is nice! As always, I am linking up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from the week.  How cute is our new wreath sash?? My mom got it for us, and I am obsessed! Lots of food faves this week.... Another salsa I am now obsessed with! I found this at Aldi, and y'all it is SO good! I used it in a recipe, but I am definitely going to get another jar to eat for a snack or with lunch or dinner! Now for a Tik Tok "recipe". I used quotations, because it's really just a chop/open a can and throw together situation. Corn, black beans, pinto beans, onion, tomato, cilantro. I ate it with tortilla chips for lunch this week. It was so good! Next time, I would add more tomato and use less onion (maybe even no onion at all), and I should have chopped up the cilantro a little better! I also squeezed in some lime juice and added salt a...

Let's Look: January 2026

 Happy Wednesday!! Let's Look is one of my very favorite blog link ups and after not doing it last year, I am ready for it in 2026! I am linking up with Shay and Erika for this monthly series! Today, we are LOOKING at..... THINGS WE OUTSOURCE WITHOUT REGRET. Ok, there are so many things you can outsource that I just would rather do myself. I love to grocery shop. I think I would be weirded out by someone else doing my laundry. A house keeper is just not something we currently need or really want. BUT, there are occasions when outsourcing is just what needs to be done. Grocery Delivery/Pickup We don't do this often, but when we do it's pretty nice. That being said, I am usually ready to get back in the grocery store myself! Food Delivery This is another one we do not do often, but a Wednesday free delivery from Wingstop has sucked me in a few times 😂. And of course, pizza delivery is always nice! Plus, we can get food delivered to the school I work out, so that's nice e...

Friday Favorites {12.20.24}

 Happy Friday, friends!! And Merry Christmas Eve Eve Eve Eve Eve- that's a thing, right??😂 I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from the week, and then I will be off for the holidays! My plan is to see y'all back here on January 13! For some food faves.... I grabbed the raspberry kringle at Aldi the other day after seeing so many positive reviews on it. It is really good!! I had some with a cup of coffee a couple times this week! Last night, Caleb made lasagna soup- YUM. Definitely a favorite of mine lately! A great way to end the night.... Caleb made me a cosmopolitan the other night. Yum! I am really going to miss this sight.... This is my favorite time of year for sure! Twinkly lights and candle light = the BEST. On my drive home from work yesterday.... This was a fun little surprise. I don't remember this from last year! I hope you all have a great weekend and a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday! However, whatever, whenever, whereve...
