GRATITUDE.

At the beginning of the year, I shared my words for 2026 with you all. They are Gratitude, Intention, Harmony, and Wellness. A couple weeks ago, I shared a post on WELLNESS. Today, let's talk about GRATITUDE.

Life can get busy. Times can get hard. But the moment I take the time to look around and show gratitude for the things I have and the people in my life, things seem to calm down. Being grateful, truly grateful, can really shift your perspective- at least it does mine.

Here are some things I am so grateful for in my life- big and small and in no particular order....

My family.

Our home.

My marriage.

Clothes.

Shoes.

My coffee maker.

Food and drink.

My job.

Our cars.

Desperate Housewives.

Candles.

Fresh flowers.

Our favorite Mexican restaurants.

Spicy margaritas.

Financial stability.

Our furniture.

This blog and especially those who read it.

Lake pajamas.

My phone.

Watching my favorite movies on a rainy day.

Rainy days.

Tik Toks that make me laugh until I cry.

Wine.

Trader Joe's shopping trips.

Target.

Homegoods and Marshalls.

Instagram influencers that feel genuine.

Quiet moments.

Vacations.

Shampoo and Conditioner.

Dry shampoo.

Hot baths.

Bath salts.

Frozen pizza.

Fancy dinners.

When I take the time to stop and think about how grateful I am for these things, I almost get emotional. So many people don't have these things. There may be a time in my life when I don't have some of these things. I am so so so grateful for these things and more. However, I am only human. I have taken these things for granted many times, and I am sure I will in the future.

I am making it a point in 2026 to think about the things I have and really show my appreciation for them. What are you grateful for?

Have a great Thursday!

Let's Look: January 2026

Happy Wednesday!! Let's Look is one of my very favorite blog link ups and after not doing it last year, I am ready for it in 2026! I am linking up with Shay and Erika for this monthly series! Today, we are LOOKING at..... THINGS WE OUTSOURCE WITHOUT REGRET. Ok, there are so many things you can outsource that I just would rather do myself. I love to grocery shop. I think I would be weirded out by someone else doing my laundry. A house keeper is just not something we currently need or really want. BUT, there are occasions when outsourcing is just what needs to be done. Grocery Delivery/Pickup We don't do this often, but when we do it's pretty nice. That being said, I am usually ready to get back in the grocery store myself! Food Delivery This is another one we do not do often, but a Wednesday free delivery from Wingstop has sucked me in a few times πŸ˜‚. And of course, pizza delivery is always nice! Plus, we can get food delivered to the school I work out, so that's nice e...

Friday Favorites {6.6.25}

Happy Friday, friends!! How was your week? One of my summer classes started this week, so I have been getting back into a bit of a routine which is nice! As always, I am linking up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from the week.  How cute is our new wreath sash?? My mom got it for us, and I am obsessed! Lots of food faves this week.... Another salsa I am now obsessed with! I found this at Aldi, and y'all it is SO good! I used it in a recipe, but I am definitely going to get another jar to eat for a snack or with lunch or dinner! Now for a Tik Tok "recipe". I used quotations, because it's really just a chop/open a can and throw together situation. Corn, black beans, pinto beans, onion, tomato, cilantro. I ate it with tortilla chips for lunch this week. It was so good! Next time, I would add more tomato and use less onion (maybe even no onion at all), and I should have chopped up the cilantro a little better! I also squeezed in some lime juice and added salt a...

Friday Favorites {12.20.24}

Happy Friday, friends!! And Merry Christmas Eve Eve Eve Eve Eve- that's a thing, right??πŸ˜‚ I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from the week, and then I will be off for the holidays! My plan is to see y'all back here on January 13! For some food faves.... I grabbed the raspberry kringle at Aldi the other day after seeing so many positive reviews on it. It is really good!! I had some with a cup of coffee a couple times this week! Last night, Caleb made lasagna soup- YUM. Definitely a favorite of mine lately! A great way to end the night.... Caleb made me a cosmopolitan the other night. Yum! I am really going to miss this sight.... This is my favorite time of year for sure! Twinkly lights and candle light = the BEST. On my drive home from work yesterday.... This was a fun little surprise. I don't remember this from last year! I hope you all have a great weekend and a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday! However, whatever, whenever, whereve...
