Happy Wednesday! It's time for the February installment of Let's Look with Shay and Erika!
In January, we "looked" at THINGS WE OUTSOURCE WITHOUT REGRET.
Today, we are "looking" at.....
WAYS WE'VE TURNED INTO OUR PARENTS.
My mom is going to love this 😂.
#1 First and foremost...I want to come home from work, get in something comfy, and get in MY BED. I used to never understand how my mom could possibly get in bed so dang early. Well, here I am. 25 years old, in my bed at 7:30 on any given day of the week.
#2 I’m EARLY everywhere I go. Thanks mom! I’m actually glad that my mom always got me where I needed to be early. I think constant tardiness is just rude. I'm early to appointments, work, meetings, etc.
#3 “Because I said so” comes out of my mouth far too often. It’s not my favorite phrase, but jeez sometimes it's just necessary. I remember asking "but whyyyy?" and my mom's response being "because I said so." It feels like a right of passage now lol.
#4 I drink regular Coke. Ok, I am very much a Diet Coke lover, but I do drink regular Coke a lot more often than I used to. It's my mom's favorite!
#5 I don't mean to toot my own horn here, but I feel like I'm a good person. I have my mom to thank for that, once again. I say hello to strangers. I help people in the grocery store to reach something high up. I clean up after myself. I care about others.
I can't wait to read everyone else's answers! Have a great Wednesday!

This did make me chuckle and think of the ways I am turning into my parents. I always say Because I said so. It just need saying when kids always ask why, why, why!
ReplyDeleteYES. I experience that a lot with 18 Kindergarteners😂
DeleteOh yes that "because I said so" really does just work sometimes!
ReplyDeleteWell this just made my entire week especially #5. If you learned nothing else from me other than that and to love Jesus then my job was done! ❤️
