A Whole Bunch of Random

 Happy Tuesday, friends! Today I thought I would make a post full of random things that have been on my mind lately.

1. Let's talk about Nordstrom Rack.....

I have loved Nordstrom for nearly a decade (jeez that makes me feel old haha). My mom's friend introduced me to it way back when, and I have loved it ever since. We have popped into Nordstrom Rack a few times over the years, but it wasn't a favorite by any means. Well, when I saw that it was at The Summit in Birmingham, AL, I was super excited to check it out. Y'all. I could have stayed in there for HOURS. Talk about amazing basics for amazing prices!! Dang, now I am wishing I had looked at their jewelry! Anyways, if you need some new basics, whether casual or a bit dressy- check out Nordstrom Rack!

2. Do I need an iron??

Ha! We didn't register for one when we got married, neither one of us had one, and we haven't ever really seen a need for one I guess. But, now I feel like we may need one?? I did grab Downy Wrinkle Release the other day, and I am going to try it for a bit. I also have a steamer, but I feel like it doesn't always get the job done. So, what do you all think??

3. It's my birthday!

(And I had to make this one #3, of course!) 3 is "my number"....I was born on 3/3/00. So, I turned 3 on 3/3/03 and will turn 33 on 3/3/33. Today, though, I am 26. This one feels big. I can't really explain it....I have never really felt my age, but this time around I feel old- ugh.

4. PRO TIP!

I got a new moisturizer this weekend (at Nordstrom Rack, no less!), and it reminded me that I like to try out new moisturizers at night instead of the morning. If it's too thick, I don't really want it under my makeup all day, ya know? Just thought I would share that little tip with you all!

5. Something I found funny.....

This cracked me up 😂😂. I love following Taylor Lautner and his wife who is also Taylor Lautner. I love that he commented on this post!

6. I've gone crazy for a button down shirt lately.

I bought one at Marshall's a couple weekends ago, and now I am obsessed. I also ordered two from Quince and then bought one at Madewell this past weekend. I think I am almost done building my little collection, though. One striped, a light pink, a white, a fun blue one with red piping. Now, I think I just want a fun plaid one. I have always wanted a Rails plaid button down from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale- maybe this is the year I take the plunge?? (they're kind of pricey!)

7. No "big lights".

Do y'all turn on the big, overhead lights in your house? I haaaaate to turn them on. We are a lamp and under cabinet lighting only house- ha! It's very rare we turn on the "big lights". 

8. Feeling old and young all at once.

While I was writing this post, I stopped for a minute to scroll Instagram and saw a baby announcement post from a girl I went to high school with. This will be her second, and it got me thinking about how many people I went to high school with that have kids- several of them have multiple. That makes me feel old and young at the same time. On one hand, how are we old enough for that?? (It's been nearly 8 years since we graduated, so we in fact are haha.) On the other hand, I still feel like I'm a teen! And then there are a few people younger than me who already have kids......

9. Baby names. 

To piggy back off of that last random thought, can we talk baby names? No, I am not having a baby. I just love thinking up names. Here's a list of names I probably will not use if I ever do have a baby....

Girl: Eleanor, Lucille, Lillian, Elsie, Nora, Eloise, Celia, Layla

Boy: Pierce, Wyatt, Archer, Phipps, Louis, James, Benjamin, Alexander 

Yes, I am gate keeping the names I would use if the time ever does come 😉. What names do you love??

10. Cars.

I would not necessarily call myself a car lover, but I have loved the Lexus RX since I was in about the 4th grade. It's my dream car, and one day I hope to get one. Anyone of you drive this? If so, give me the good, bad, and ugly on it! Every time I see one out and about, I say "there's my car!" Ha! I feel like I see one every single day lol.
