All The Things I Love About Blogging

 Happy Wednesday! I thought this would be a fun post to share with you all! Today I am talking about all the things I love about BLOGGING!

1. It gives me a space to WRITE.

I have always loved writing, and that is one of the main reasons I started this blog!

2. Connecting with others.

I love going to other blogs, and I so appreciate when you all read here and comment. It's so fun!

The blogs I visit the most are:

Holly- Pink Lady

Joanne- My Slices of Life

Jenn- My Joyful Life

Amy- Coffee and Cocktails at the Casa

Sarah- Sunshine and Books

Kim- Life as Kim

Shay- Mix and Match Mama

Erika- A Little Bit of Everything

3. I love to look back at old posts.

This is probably my favorite! Sometimes after I finish a post, I will just go back through and read old posts. It's so much fun to see what all I have posted about and how things have changed over the years.

4. It's easy to find pictures of random things I need.

For example, the other day my Mimi and I were talking about what Caleb and I had in our flower beds last year. Quick little search on my blog and boom. Found it! Another time I wanted to find a wine I liked. I often need pictures from past trips, events, experiences, etc. And it's easy peasy to find it here!

5. Tip and Tricks

Whether I am reading other blogs, one of you leaves me a helpful comment, or I get to share my own, tips and tricks are everywhere in the blog world!

6. It gets me out of my comfort zone.

Sharing about my life, sharing random things here and there, connecting with other people I don't know....There are times when I go to hit 'publish', and I just can't because of the "what ifs". But, the more I do it, it gets easier!!

7. It's a fun hobby!

I always feel like everyone except me has a fun hobby, but now this is mine!

8. I don't have to talk.

Lol....I am a very quiet person in real life. But, here I get to share all the things without actually talking 😂.

9. It forces me to take more pictures.

I am constantly stuck between taking pictures and just enjoying the moment screen free. But I will often think "oh this might make a good blog post" or "my readers need to see this!". I still try to balance between being on the phone too much and just for a little while. I'm also terrible at remembering to take pictures, so knowing I need them for a post helps!

10. Everyone is kind and uplifting (for the most part!).

I feel like blog world is so much different than social media platforms. People are so quick to say whatever is on their mind in those spaces, but I feel like going "viral" isn't as common over here. Everyone kind of sticks to their own spaces and little communities, so things are more positive because of that. However, I do have at least one person that reads here that seems to comment (anonymously, of course!) exactly what is on their mind 😂.

If you blog, what do you love about it? If you just read them, what do you love about that??

Have a great Wednesday!!

Let's Look: January 2026

 Happy Wednesday!! Let's Look is one of my very favorite blog link ups and after not doing it last year, I am ready for it in 2026! I am linking up with Shay and Erika for this monthly series! Today, we are LOOKING at..... THINGS WE OUTSOURCE WITHOUT REGRET. Ok, there are so many things you can outsource that I just would rather do myself. I love to grocery shop. I think I would be weirded out by someone else doing my laundry. A house keeper is just not something we currently need or really want. BUT, there are occasions when outsourcing is just what needs to be done. Grocery Delivery/Pickup We don't do this often, but when we do it's pretty nice. That being said, I am usually ready to get back in the grocery store myself! Food Delivery This is another one we do not do often, but a Wednesday free delivery from Wingstop has sucked me in a few times 😂. And of course, pizza delivery is always nice! Plus, we can get food delivered to the school I work out, so that's nice e...

Friday Favorites {6.6.25}

 Happy Friday, friends!! How was your week? One of my summer classes started this week, so I have been getting back into a bit of a routine which is nice! As always, I am linking up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from the week.  How cute is our new wreath sash?? My mom got it for us, and I am obsessed! Lots of food faves this week.... Another salsa I am now obsessed with! I found this at Aldi, and y'all it is SO good! I used it in a recipe, but I am definitely going to get another jar to eat for a snack or with lunch or dinner! Now for a Tik Tok "recipe". I used quotations, because it's really just a chop/open a can and throw together situation. Corn, black beans, pinto beans, onion, tomato, cilantro. I ate it with tortilla chips for lunch this week. It was so good! Next time, I would add more tomato and use less onion (maybe even no onion at all), and I should have chopped up the cilantro a little better! I also squeezed in some lime juice and added salt a...

Friday Favorites {12.20.24}

 Happy Friday, friends!! And Merry Christmas Eve Eve Eve Eve Eve- that's a thing, right??😂 I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from the week, and then I will be off for the holidays! My plan is to see y'all back here on January 13! For some food faves.... I grabbed the raspberry kringle at Aldi the other day after seeing so many positive reviews on it. It is really good!! I had some with a cup of coffee a couple times this week! Last night, Caleb made lasagna soup- YUM. Definitely a favorite of mine lately! A great way to end the night.... Caleb made me a cosmopolitan the other night. Yum! I am really going to miss this sight.... This is my favorite time of year for sure! Twinkly lights and candle light = the BEST. On my drive home from work yesterday.... This was a fun little surprise. I don't remember this from last year! I hope you all have a great weekend and a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday! However, whatever, whenever, whereve...
