Weekend Recap

YAY! It's Monday! I don't work on Mondays, so I use this day to clean the house, catch up on laundry, paint my nails...anything I haven't had a chance to do during the week.

Saturday morning before work, I got an itch to take down all of my Christmas decor (except for the tree and the garland on the stairs), and put up my Valentine's stuff. As soon as I got home from work, we took down all of the remaining decorations and put everything away. 

My heart pillow is from HomeGoods this year, and Caleb's mom got me the blanket!

My Mimi gave me this door hanger a few years ago!

My favorite😍 The wine glasses are all Estelle. The stemless glasses are in fuchsia, and the stemmed glasses are in blush. Everything came from The Finery in Jackson. My dishes are Berry and Thread by Juliska.

Sunday morning we had brunch at a local restaurant and then headed to grocery shop. (I'll share my meal plan for the week at the end of this post.) It's been a few weeks since we've actually cooked anything, so I'm excited to get back on that. We just got an Aldi in Starkville, and we are always so amazed at how inexpensive it is.

After a busy holiday, this calm and quiet weekend was much needed! I hope you all had a great weekend!

Meal Plan: 
Wednesday- sausage dogs with chips and ranch dip
Thursday- Chicken Alfredo
Friday- leftovers or eat out!

I think I would be weirded out by someone else doing my laundry. A house keeper is just not something we currently need or really want. BUT, there are occasions when outsourcing is just what needs to be done. Grocery Delivery/Pickup We don't do this often, but when we do it's pretty nice. Friday Favorites {6.6.25}

 Happy Friday, friends!! How was your week? One of my summer classes started this week, so I have been getting back into a bit of a routine which is nice! As always, I am linking up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from the week.  How cute is our new wreath sash?? My mom got it for us, and I am obsessed! Lots of food faves this week.... Another salsa I am now obsessed with! I found this at Aldi, and y'all it is SO good! I used it in a recipe, but I am definitely going to get another jar to eat for a snack or with lunch or dinner! Now for a Tik Tok "recipe". I used quotations, because it's really just a chop/open a can and throw together situation. Corn, black beans, pinto beans, onion, tomato, cilantro. I ate it with tortilla chips for lunch this week. It was so good! Next time, I would add more tomato and use less onion (maybe even no onion at all), and I should have chopped up the cilantro a little better! I also squeezed in some lime juice and added salt a...

Friday Favorites {12.20.24}

 Happy Friday, friends!! And Merry Christmas Eve Eve Eve Eve Eve- that's a thing, right??😂 I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from the week, and then I will be off for the holidays! My plan is to see y'all back here on January 13! For some food faves.... I grabbed the raspberry kringle at Aldi the other day after seeing so many positive reviews on it. It is really good!! I had some with a cup of coffee a couple times this week! Last night, Caleb made lasagna soup- YUM. Definitely a favorite of mine lately! A great way to end the night.... Caleb made me a cosmopolitan the other night. Yum! I am really going to miss this sight.... This is my favorite time of year for sure! Twinkly lights and candle light = the BEST.
