Clean Deodorant

Grab a cup of coffee, curl up, and let's talk about our underarms!

For YEARS I have used Secret Lavender gel deodorant. I loved it. Like really loved that stuff. I loved the smell of it so much that when I lost my sense of smell when I had Covid, I got sad because I could no longer smell my deodorant. Crazy. I know.

A couple months ago, I decided I wanted to switch to a "clean" deodorant brand. I wanted something that didn't have aluminum in it, but that actually worked. I've seen/heard of several brands, but I didn't really know what would be best.

I saw an ad for Curie on Instagram, and I just went with it.

I grabbed the deodorant in Coconut Nectar, as well as the clay detox mask for an easier transition.

We're about to get up close and personal.

I put the mask on my underarms, let it dry completely, wiped it all off, then applied the deodorant.

The first week or so of doing this, I did the mask maybe two or three of those days. I noticed I started to sweat around noon after not really doing anything. I wasn't.....smelly. So I guess that's a plus??😂

Now that I've been using it for about a month, I don't notice any sweating during the day! I really think the mask has helped a ton.

I'm going to Disney in a few weeks, so that will put it to the ultimate test. I'll be sure to update after that!

Side note...

The mask can also be used on your face!

Have a great Thursday!

Let's Look: September 2024

Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...
