Friday Favorites {8.25.23}

Heyyyy Friday! How was your week?? As always, on Fridays I link up with Erika and Andrea to bring you some faves from the week!

Some recent outfit faves for these 95+ temps we're having....

This is my "dressed up" lately. Jean shorts, cute top, sneakers or Birkenstocks, simple jewelry. It's just too hot for anything else!

I mean...wouldn't you wear chin lifting and eye depuffing masks to run an errand with your sister??

And here's what I'm in MOST days as of late...

...Lulu shorts or a tennis skirt, some kind of tee, usually a sweatshirt...This day I went to the grocery store, so I had on tennis shoes. But don't let me fool ya...I normally have on slippers.

I have worn more athleisure in the past two weeks than probably EVER, but I'm loving it. No makeup most days, hair in a bun...why haven't I been doing this longer😂???

Some recent foodie faves...

My mother in law gave me these chips to try and oh my goodness, I LOVE them. She gave me nacho, lime, and sea salt to try. So far nacho is my fave!

These chicken gyros are SO good and SO easy!! I found the recipe on @brunchwithbabs on IG. I just love her! (p.s. do you see my tennis skirt and slippers😉??? I saw that skirt in the window and may or may not have had them take it off the mannequin for me....)

I didn't think lemon and chocolate would be a combo I love, but WOW these are good!!

Having my sister in Starkville is THE BEST!

Especially when she comes over for dinner and does the dishes afterwards😉. (Also, do you see her shoe of choice?? We are clearly obsessed with our slippers!)

I went to the campus bookstore the other day to get my textbooks, and I saw this Christmas book!

I mean, wouldn't you read that solely based on how cute the cover is??? Because I'm sure going to!

And last but not least....

In this cup is a delicious pumpkin spice creamer! I have on a "fall color" nail polish! I'm getting caught up on The Bible Recap! What's not to love about this photo?? This was probably my favorite morning this week!

Have a very happy weekend, friends! Wherever you are, I hope you stay COOL and HYDRATED!!

Let's Look: September 2024

 Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...

Friday Favorites {10.18.24}

 Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! Ummm YAY!! I'm most excited about Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Angela from The Office is starring in that one!) and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story! For some foodie faves... This right here. It made my week. I'm obsessed with the tuna from Beagle Bagel. It's amazing. I can never say it enough! I made egg drop soup for the lunch the other day, and it was really good! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...
