Trader Joe's Haul

It's time for another Trader Joe's HAUL! We made an impromptu trip to Birmingham this past Saturday, and when there's a TJ's nearby, I just have to go in. It's basically the law....

On the way to Birmingham, I made a list for Trader Joe's instead of going in blind. I had already made my big grocery list, so I took from that list and made a new one of everything I thought I'd be able to get in TJ's. I got pretty much everything on that list (and then of course a few other "specialty" items). I really thought that they'd have out some fall items, but there were none that I saw. One thing I'm bummed they didn't have was coffee creamer....I looked everywhere for it, so surely I didn't just miss it???

I went straight for the produce and found these Saturn peaches! I'm guessing they're the same as "donut" peaches that I've seen on TikTok. Definitely don't taste like a donut, but they are good!

Two kinds of potatoes for the week.

This sounded SO good. I'm doing them on a sheet pan with those small potatoes.

I grabbed this yogurt, but I honestly don't love it.

I never think to buy bread from TJ's, but I grabbed this as soon as I saw it.

I love their green chilies for Cheesy Ranch Tacos.

Not the best ranch ever, but it was ok for Cheesy Ranch Tacos.

I looooove Carne Asada. They were pretty good.

I had to get more of these truffles. They are SO good!!

I like trying their cheap wines😂. I usually never have luck with their whites, but their reds are usually always good. Edited to add....I've had better PN.

My sister got these flowers, but they didn't all fit in her vase, so she let me have a few stems!

Have a great Tuesday!!

Let's Look: September 2024

 Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...

Friday Favorites {10.18.24}

 Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! Ummm YAY!! I'm most excited about Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Angela from The Office is starring in that one!) and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story! For some foodie faves... This right here. It made my week. I'm obsessed with the tuna from Beagle Bagel. It's amazing. I can never say it enough! I made egg drop soup for the lunch the other day, and it was really good! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...
