My Desk Essentials

 Happy Thursday!! How's your week going? Today I'm sharing with you my DESK ESSENTIALS! I've been back in school for four weeks now, and this is everything that has been useful to me during that time.

Now, I don't have an actual desk, so I've completely taken over the kitchen table. However, everything packs up nicely in a bag, and I can have everything out of the way should we have guests over!

1. My computer, obviously! Plus, the charger. My computer is getting old, and the battery goes super quickly.

2. Pens! Lots and lots of colorful pens! I love flair pens the best, but I got LePen from Walmart, and I love those, too! Mechanical pencils also! And extra lead for those.

3. Lip balm. I looove Cliganic from Amazon.

4. A notebook and copy paper. I write out my to do list, assignments for the week, and take notes with both.

5. Lotion. I love the coconut body butter from Trader Joe's to moisturize a couple times a day.

6. A planner. I'm so bad about using a planner, but I'm trying to get better at it! Caleb had one that he never used, so he gave it to me!

7. Not pictured- a Stanley, a water bottle, and some other type of liquid😂.

Everything is all nice and neat in that picture above, but if we're being honest.....

it looks like this most of the time!

Anything else I need on my desk?? Have a great day!

Let's Look: March 2024

  I'm back!! Happy Wednesday!! It's the second Wednesday of the month, so that means it's time for LET'S LOOK with Shay and Erika!! In January, we "looked" at How We Clean Our Closets. In February, we "looked" at Little Things We Do Every Single Day. Today, we are "looking" at..... OUR GROCERY CARTS!!  Since I was in Nashville over the weekend, I had to run in Trader Joe's! So, I went ahead and did my grocery shopping for the week while I was there. Plus some other goodies too!  When I went to the TJ's in Huntsville, I said it was my favorite. BUT, I have found a new favorite. There are two locations in Nashville, and I've now been to both. The one on White Bridge Pike is FABULOUS! They had every single thing on my list, and then some. I've been to the other location over by Green Hills Mall, but I didn't look around much, so I can't really attest to how that one is.  I snapped this picture of my grocery cart! This i...

Friday Favorites {10.18.24}

 Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! Ummm YAY!! I'm most excited about Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Angela from The Office is starring in that one!) and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story! For some foodie faves... This right here. It made my week. I'm obsessed with the tuna from Beagle Bagel. It's amazing. I can never say it enough! I made egg drop soup for the lunch the other day, and it was really good! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...

Let's Look: September 2024

 Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...
