Weekend Recap

Hello Monday!! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I'm linking up with Holly and Sarah to share about my weekend!

In true Maddie fashion, I did not take a ton of pictures...

We started off Thanksgiving morning by watching the Macy's parade and eating gluten free cinnamon rolls and sausage balls- this was my mom's one request since Thanksgiving fell on her birthday this year!

Caleb and I made the sausage balls. They are SO good. The dipping sauce is jam or jelly mixed with a little yellow mustard. All we had at my mom's house was my homemade blackberry peach jam, but Caleb prefers to use grape jelly.

A little Thanksgiving day selfie!

I took zero pictures on Friday, but Caleb's dad made us steak for dinner, and we all played Pictionary before bed.

Saturday morning we went to Peyton's bridal luncheon- it's wedding week, y'all!!

These are the BEST petit fours in the world....if you live in Madison, do yourself a favor and ask my mom for "the petit four lady's" phone number 😂.

Sunday morning, Caleb and I headed to church a few minutes early so we could make a stop by Starbucks. I got the Gingerbread Oatmilk Chai latte, and it was really good!

I ended Sunday night by sitting in my new "spot" and watching someone's Instagram live of the last show of The Eras Tour for the year. Super exciting, I know 😂.

Today I will be doing laundry all day long, sigh. Have a great Monday!!

  2. I'm stuck on the dipping sauce being "jam mixed with mustard." Now I (kind of) want to try that!!!

Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! Ummm YAY!! I'm most excited about Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Angela from The Office is starring in that one!) and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story! For some foodie faves... This right here. It made my week. I'm obsessed with the tuna from Beagle Bagel. It's amazing. I can never say it enough! I made egg drop soup for the lunch the other day, and it was really good! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...

Let's Look: September 2024

Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...
