Let's Look: January 2024

 

It's the first "Let's Look" of 2024!! This is by far my favorite link up that I join- mainly because I'm super nosy and like "looking" into other people's lives 😂. So, today I'm joining Shay and Erika to "look" at....

HOW WE CLEAN OUR CLOSETS.

I might be slightly embarrassed to share these pictures with you today. But I mostly don't care 🤷🏼. I know I'm not the only person ever with a messy closet, right?? Our closet is really the only space that I allow to "pile up" and take the back burner when it comes to cleaning up/being organized/decluttering/etc. I guess I'm a little lazy when it comes to my closet. I think it's ok to have at least one spot like that....mmkay let's get into it. 

Here is a look at our closet post Christmas and post vacay. It's rough. 

We share this space, and though it isn't ideal, it works. For the most part. Maybe. I may the only one who contributes to the mess. Ok, I am the only one. Oops. My purse fell over, and I didn't pick it up. Couldn't tell you why I didn't take the two seconds to do that 😂.

Another view. Like why do I have a pair of shoes partly in their box, but not all the way? Idk. And the sweatshirt on the floor??? (And yes, I keep every single shoe box. Easy organization!)

All of my jewelry has a "home." A lot of that jewelry is not in it's home in this picture- likely because it was still packed in my suitcase two days after we got home from our trip. Ha! And in this pic, you'll also see Caleb's section for his clothes. See, he keeps his space organized. 

The next day, I took a few minutes to "pick up" and organize a little. And unpack that suitcase. 

Definitely not perfect, but we could at least step inside the room. I am trying real hard to pick up every couple of days, so it doesn't get extremely out of hand. It's a work in progress! 

Things are....somewhat.....neater. It's definitely been better. Maybe I'll work on that soon!

And the jewelry is back in it's home. I also have an over the door organizer for more jewelry, so everything on "display" are the pieces I reach for daily! 

And I will be completely honest with you....my closet is already just about back to looking like the first three pictures..whoops! Soooo, any tips for me 😂??

Friday Favorites {6.6.25}

 Happy Friday, friends!! How was your week? One of my summer classes started this week, so I have been getting back into a bit of a routine which is nice! As always, I am linking up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from the week.  How cute is our new wreath sash?? My mom got it for us, and I am obsessed! Lots of food faves this week.... Another salsa I am now obsessed with! I found this at Aldi, and y'all it is SO good! I used it in a recipe, but I am definitely going to get another jar to eat for a snack or with lunch or dinner! Now for a Tik Tok "recipe". I used quotations, because it's really just a chop/open a can and throw together situation. Corn, black beans, pinto beans, onion, tomato, cilantro. I ate it with tortilla chips for lunch this week. It was so good! Friday Favorites {12.20.24}

 Happy Friday, friends!! And Merry Christmas Eve Eve Eve Eve Eve- that's a thing, right??😂 I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from the week, and then I will be off for the holidays! My plan is to see y'all back here on January 13! For some food faves.... I grabbed the raspberry kringle at Aldi the other day after seeing so many positive reviews on it. It is really good!! I had some with a cup of coffee a couple times this week! Last night, Caleb made lasagna soup- YUM. Definitely a favorite of mine lately! A great way to end the night.... Caleb made me a cosmopolitan the other night. Yum! I am really going to miss this sight.... This is my favorite time of year for sure! Twinkly lights and candle light = the BEST. Let's Look: January 2026

 Happy Wednesday!! Let's Look is one of my very favorite blog link ups and after not doing it last year, I am ready for it in 2026! I am linking up with Shay and Erika for this monthly series! Today, we are LOOKING at..... THINGS WE OUTSOURCE WITHOUT REGRET. Ok, there are so many things you can outsource that I just would rather do myself. I love to grocery shop. I think I would be weirded out by someone else doing my laundry. A house keeper is just not something we currently need or really want. BUT, there are occasions when outsourcing is just what needs to be done. Grocery Delivery/Pickup We don't do this often, but when we do it's pretty nice. That being said, I am usually ready to get back in the grocery store myself! Food Delivery This is another one we do not do often, but a Wednesday free delivery from Wingstop has sucked me in a few times 😂. And of course, pizza delivery is always nice! Plus, we can get food delivered to the school I work out, so that's nice e...
