Hello Monday!! How was your weekend? We had a busy but fun one- I'm linking up with Holly and Sarah to share all about it!
My Friday night drink of choice. I had never had this Chardonnay before, but I decided to try it and it may be a new favorite!
Saturday was graduation for Caleb's sister and for my sister's boyfriend. They had I think 313 graduating seniors- crazy!! I think I had somewhere around 250 in mine- and I was on the last row with my W last name ๐.
Look who sat right behind me! So proper ๐. Of course with an iPad and a bar- his two faves! I asked him whose iPad that was, and he looked at me like I had lost my mind and said "it's mine!" Ha!
And then we ended up at none other than Mexican!! We were only in town for the day, so we went home right after we ate.
I thought I would sit on the back porch for a bit when we got home, but the bugs were insane!
So, I made my way inside to my current fave spot- by the window in my swivel rocker!
Sunday, Caleb went into work for a bit- they're renovating a dorm on campus and have to be out before school starts back in August, so it's busy busy busy for him right now! I headed to grocery store to get a few things for the week. When I came home, I made Jessie James Decker's brownies from her book Just Eat.
I read for a bit. I may or may not be giving Colleen Hoover a second chance!
I thought the brownies were done. They were in fact NOT. This picture was taken at 3:14 in the afternoon. I think the brownies were finally ready to eat around 7ish. That was after taking them from the oven, thinking they were done and turning the oven off, realizing after about 30 minutes that they were not done, preheating the oven, and putting them back in, repeat. Baking may not be my strong suit- ha! They actually baked for a total of about two hours. They were delicious even so!
And for dinner I made Jessie's American Spaghetti from Just Eat. It was SO good! I haven't had spaghetti like this in years probably! I had a major aversion to it for a very very long time, but I finally decided to make it. Delish!
Have a great Monday!
I had 950 in my graduating class and was an S in terms of seating lol. It was a long night! Those brownies look yummy. Brownies might be my favorite sweet treat. Have a great week!
ReplyDelete950?? Wow! I bet that was a long night- ha!
Deletethose brownies look delicious. I have a love hate relationship with Colleen Hoover, some of her books I like and some I don't.
ReplyDeleteI feel that!
DeleteOh my mouth is watering with the brownies AND spaghetti- looks like a fun and yet relaxing weekend!
ReplyDeleteHaha! They were both so good!
DeleteI went to a very small school with a graduating class of 27! And it still seemed like it took FOREVER. lol Now I'm craving brownies :) I hope you have a great rest of the week. Colletta
ReplyDeleteOh wow! Thank you for reading!
DeleteSo fun! I can't even fathom that many graduating seniors- my high school class had 10! I think we had less than 200 kids in the whole school K-12! And now I teach at a school that is a similar size, although I think the graduating class this year had about 20. I also LOVE that purple color on the dress that you are wearing!
ReplyDeleteThank you!!
