Navarre Recap

 Happy Thursday! This past weekend, I was in Navarre, Florida- here's what we did!

My mom's best friend lives near Navarre, and we went for her son's high school graduation. We also got in a beach day and some good quality time with our favorite people!

It's very fitting that this is the first picture I took while we were there! Mrs. Angel makes the BEST key lime pie in the world!! I have made her recipe countless times, and although it is really good, it just isn't the same as when she makes it!

We always bring Beagle Bagel for them. They used to live in Madison, and it's their fave!

After graduation, we ate at McGuire's. It was almost 10pm before we ate, but it was soooo good! It was my first time there.

We somehow ended up in our own little private room!

The time stamp on this picture is 10:05- whew! I had the spicy chicken sandwich, and that sauce was amazing! The waiter said I really needed to dip the sandwich in ranch, so he brought me some and it really was so good!

The next day, we watched church at the house and then got ready for the beach! We went to Ft. Walton for acai bowls first. This little area had maybe 3 or 4 food trucks- it was cute!

A very crowded but very beautiful Navarre, FL!

Post beach grocery run!

I got this wine which was just ok. I mean, it was like $6. It reminded of the cheap wines at Trader Joe's. The bottle was cute and beachy, so I basically had to get it right??

I also got this one. I haven't tried it yet, but it was $2.99. So I'm not sure if my hopes are high or not 😂.

Sunday evening, all the "kids" (I put that in quotations, because the youngest of us is 16😂) drove to Pensacola for Dirty Dough cookies. I couldn't not snap this picture!!

I got zero pictures of the actual cookies, but here is the storefront! They were sooooo good, especially the cookies and cream. They also have a gluten free chocolate chip! All of their cookies are stuffed with something. Cookies and cream=cream filling, chocolate chip=cookie dough filling, etc.!

Monday brunch at First Watch- one of our faves! My mom actually went to the Oxford location the very next day 😂. This was their Morning Meditation juice, and it was delish! I really thought I took a pic of my food, but I guess I didn't. I got their Chikichanga with black beans instead of potatoes, and it was fabulous!! We did some shopping in Pensacola and then headed home.

On our way home, we decided we needed a Mexican fix- ha! We were going to stop at a restaurant in Mobile that we had been to before, but sadly it had closed down. It was so good, so we're not sure what happened there. We found Aztecas in Saraland, though and it was really good! I got the quesabirria, and it was pretty good. Their salsa was my favorite though!!

And then before I knew it, I was home and unpacking.....Have a happy Thursday!

Friday Favorites {6.6.25}

 Happy Friday, friends!! How was your week? One of my summer classes started this week, so I have been getting back into a bit of a routine which is nice! As always, I am linking up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from the week.  How cute is our new wreath sash?? My mom got it for us, and I am obsessed! Lots of food faves this week.... Another salsa I am now obsessed with! I found this at Aldi, and y'all it is SO good! I used it in a recipe, but I am definitely going to get another jar to eat for a snack or with lunch or dinner! Now for a Tik Tok "recipe". I used quotations, because it's really just a chop/open a can and throw together situation. Corn, black beans, pinto beans, onion, tomato, cilantro. I ate it with tortilla chips for lunch this week. It was so good! Next time, I would add more tomato and use less onion (maybe even no onion at all), and I should have chopped up the cilantro a little better! I also squeezed in some lime juice and added salt a...

Let's Look: January 2026

 Happy Wednesday!! Let's Look is one of my very favorite blog link ups and after not doing it last year, I am ready for it in 2026! I am linking up with Shay and Erika for this monthly series! Today, we are LOOKING at..... THINGS WE OUTSOURCE WITHOUT REGRET. Ok, there are so many things you can outsource that I just would rather do myself. I love to grocery shop. I think I would be weirded out by someone else doing my laundry. A house keeper is just not something we currently need or really want. BUT, there are occasions when outsourcing is just what needs to be done. Grocery Delivery/Pickup We don't do this often, but when we do it's pretty nice. That being said, I am usually ready to get back in the grocery store myself! Food Delivery This is another one we do not do often, but a Wednesday free delivery from Wingstop has sucked me in a few times 😂. And of course, pizza delivery is always nice! Plus, we can get food delivered to the school I work out, so that's nice e...

Friday Favorites {12.20.24}

 Happy Friday, friends!! And Merry Christmas Eve Eve Eve Eve Eve- that's a thing, right??😂 I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from the week, and then I will be off for the holidays! My plan is to see y'all back here on January 13! For some food faves.... I grabbed the raspberry kringle at Aldi the other day after seeing so many positive reviews on it. It is really good!! I had some with a cup of coffee a couple times this week! Last night, Caleb made lasagna soup- YUM. Definitely a favorite of mine lately! A great way to end the night.... Caleb made me a cosmopolitan the other night. Yum! I am really going to miss this sight.... This is my favorite time of year for sure! Twinkly lights and candle light = the BEST. On my drive home from work yesterday.... This was a fun little surprise. I don't remember this from last year! I hope you all have a great weekend and a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday! However, whatever, whenever, whereve...
