Happy Tuesday! I feel like I've shared about this recipe before, but it doesn't have it's own blog post. So, here ya go!
My mom started making red beans and rice like this a few years ago, and now this is how I do it. It's super easy and super quick!
Ingredients:
1 can of Blue Runner red beans (I actually like the white beans better, but it's rare that I find them!)
1 package of your favorite sausage, cut into rounds (I've been using a jalapeño cheddar deer sausage lately)
White rice for serving
Directions:
1. Heat your sausage in a skillet until browned.
2. Mix in your can of Blue Runner beans. Sometimes I add a little water but not always. Let it simmer on medium heat for about five minutes. I also add in a little salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
3. Serve over your cooked rice.
See how easy?? And dang it's so good!!
