Monthly Musings {July 2024}

 Happy Thursday!! I'm linking up with Holly and Patty today for the July edition of Monthly Musings! How are we already at the end of July???

1. We've been to the beach twice, and Caleb and I are hopefully going on a trip sometime in the next couple weeks....work permitting!

2. My favorite thing from this summer was hands down, our family beach trip to Grayton! It was so. much. fun!!!

3. Dresses, dresses, and more dresses!! Short, long, dressed up, dressed down, tennis dresses, sun dresses, shift dresses....all the dresses.

I also love just a simple tee and jeans outfit like this one!

4. Gresham bracelets! These are my absolute favorite for all year, but especially summer. You can "swim, sweat, shower" in them, plus they can be worn dressed up or down!

5. These flats from Target...

Or, I still love my Birkenstocks and wear them quite often. The Target flats are great for sooo many outfits, though. I usually wear the Birks very casually. I'm not seeing the exact sandals I have, but these are super cute and will go great into fall!

6. Hmmm. We bought a new mattress. VERY spontaneous 😂.

7. I just watched Something's Gotta Give yesterday, and I feel that it's very summery.

I mean...don't you agree?? Also, I'd like to be Diane Keaton in my next life, please and thank you!

8. I don't love ice cream, like, it's not my go to dessert really ever. But, I have eaten it quite a bit this summer!

9. Bring on fall!!!!

10. I don't have kids, but I am in school. Not ready for that quite yet! I'm still in my last summer class, but it's been fine with just the one. Not sure I'm ready for four classes at once yet!

    I have driven through Grayton beach but never stayed. We have stayed in Destin and Niceville, which are all in that same region. It's funny because those areas sound far (2, 2.5 hours) but if you looked at them on a map compared to Tallahassee, it doesn't seem that far at all!

      We always stayed in Destin when I was growing up!! They do seem so far away!

Friday Favorites {12.20.24}

 Happy Friday, friends!! And Merry Christmas Eve Eve Eve Eve Eve- that's a thing, right??😂 I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from the week, and then I will be off for the holidays! Friday Favorites {6.6.25}

 Happy Friday, friends!! How was your week? One of my summer classes started this week, so I have been getting back into a bit of a routine which is nice! As always, I am linking up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from the week.  How cute is our new wreath sash?? My mom got it for us, and I am obsessed! Lots of food faves this week.... Another salsa I am now obsessed with! I found this at Aldi, and y'all it is SO good! I used it in a recipe, but I am definitely going to get another jar to eat for a snack or with lunch or dinner! Now for a Tik Tok "recipe". I used quotations, because it's really just a chop/open a can and throw together situation. Corn, black beans, pinto beans, onion, tomato, cilantro. I ate it with tortilla chips for lunch this week. It was so good! Next time, I would add more tomato and use less onion (maybe even no onion at all), and I should have chopped up the cilantro a little better! I also squeezed in some lime juice and added salt a...

Friday Favorites {8.29.25}

 Happy last Friday of August! As always, I am here to link up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from my week.  To be honest, it feels out of touch to make this post. After the devastating news of yet another school shooting, my heart is so heavy. Innocent lives taken and still no changes from people in power. I honestly do not know how anyone can see news like this and not be enraged and demanding for change. I do not get political on here, because that is not what I want for this space. However, I feel the need to share my thoughts about this. America needs gun control. ALL Americans need access to healthcare, especially when it comes to mental health. America needs change. Remember these things when you vote. Think about your babies, their friends, their teachers. Stay aware, stay educated. But also please make sure you spend time doing things that bring you joy (it's good for your mental health!). That is at least what I am going to do. With that being said, here ar...
