Hello Monday {9.16.24}

 Happy Monday! As always, I'm linking up with Holly and Sarah today to share about my weekend! Well. I took 3 pictures all weekend- oops! But here they are in all their glory..... Friday night Mexican! Woohoo! Saturday's one picture. Ha! I am loving Sabrina Carpenter's new album! My favorites right now are Juno, Good Graces, and Coincidence. And to wrap it up.... Sunday morning coffee! It rained literally all day long yesterday. So, we basically sat on the couch watching The Office the whole day. Have a happy Monday!

Friday Favorites {9.13.24}

 Happy Friday the 13th! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some favorites from the week! Anyone watch the VMAs on Wednesday? From wining the first award of the night..... to the last! I love it! I think she is now the most awarded artist in VMA history! I loved Flavor Flav's excitement, too! In addition to this, I was so happy that Chappell Roan won best new artist, and Sabrina Carpenter's performance was awesome! Something funny from the week. Yep, that's me 😂. Ok, this may be weird to some. I know, it's a little weird to me too. Apparently it's a "thing" in some parts of the Midwest to eat cinnamon rolls with chili. It was ok. It wasn't like life changing or anything, but it also wasn't nasty. I made Shay's Chipotle Turkey Chili- my favorite!  (I make it on the stove, and I skip the corn) I'm back to making bracelets for The Eras Tour! Less than 50 days! YAY! My sister is going with a Lover theme, so I made this one

Olive and June Review

 Happy Thursday, friends! I have mentioned a couple of times that I recently tried Olive and June nail polish. So, today I am giving you a full review! I bought one of their Long Lasting shades in Strawberry Scone and their Super Glossy Top Coat. I thought the color was similar to one of my favorite Essie shades, Ballet Slippers. It took me four coats to get a transparent color. It was a sheer shade, so I expected it to take several coats. I'm not sure if this caused it to chip more quickly or if it was my lack of prep before applying the shade. I also did not use a base coat which felt really weird! Their shades have basically a "built in" base coat, so you can use a separate base coat, but it isn't necessary. Last Wednesday, I did all of the necessary prep to my nails....I pushed back my cuticles, clipped any that needed it, filed my nails, and used a cuticle cream. On Thursday, I painted them. I used an OPI shade (CIA=Color Is Awesome) and the Olive and June top co

Let's Look: September 2024

 Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could

Fall Favorites

 Happy Tuesday, friends!! I know it isn't quite fall yet, but I have a few favorite things that will carry me into the season! CANDLES!! Y'all know I love love love a candle, but they are better during the "ber" months!! These two basically smell the same, but they are amazing! I discovered last year that I love apple scented things. When I saw the apple spice candle, I had to get it! My sister found the wicked apple and got it for me! Pumpkin Coffees As much as I love a PSL or pumpkin cream cold brew from Starbucks, this creamer is what I'm drinking most of the time during the fall! Luckily, our Kroger has been well stocked the past few weeks! And to drink those pumpkin coffees.... Cute Fall Mugs! My grandmother got me this recently, and I love it! I think a cute mug makes a cup of coffee taste even better! Wine This isn't necessarily "fall" themed, but I feel like certain wines are better for the fall! Now, I drink red or white year round, but I re

Hello Monday {9.9.24}

 Happy Monday, friends! I'm here to link up with Holly and Sarah today to share about my weekend! Friday night, post Mexican dinner, sitting in my favorite chair with a glass of pinot! Perfect start to the weekend! Saturday morning, we made a last minute decision to go spend the day with our families! This little cutie was in town, too! Sunday morning while getting ready for church, I listened to Office Ladies. I'm still like two years behind- ha! Trying to get caught up!! Church OOTD! My dress is from Mimi Seabrook- I think it's sold out, but they have soooooo many cute fall options right now! We haven't taken a picture together in far too long, so a little before church selfie was in order! And then I came home and got comfy! We brought home some more Beagle Bagel and ate it for lunch. YUM! Sunday afternoon, we headed to the golf course. Any Office fans?? IYKYK! These were actually really good! And last nights post dinner wine and The Office! It was a fun little week

Friday Favorites {9.6.24}

 Happy first Friday Favorites of September!! I'm here to link up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew......YUM. I got this while Caleb and I grocery shopped on Monday! I love this sometimes instead of a PSL, especially when it's still super hot outside. I'm always looking for ways to incorporate more protein into my diet, and this drink caught my eye at Aldi. It's a bit weird. But, it was actually good! Like, I would get it again if I saw it, but I'm not going to hunt it down. What is it with the drinks this week?? I have been wanting to try this Liquid IV flavor, and I have now determined that you cannot go wrong with any flavor. Each one I have tried has been great! I also love that this one is sugar free. Moving from drinks to food....we got these bagels from the bakery section at Kroger and OMG they were amazing! I want to try their jalapeño cheddar ones next! New fall nail color faves! From left to right these ar

Charleston Eats!

 Happy Thursday, friends! Today's post is 100% dedicated to the food we ate in Charleston. If you missed my trip recaps, you can find those HERE. When we first got to Charleston, we were pretty hungry. We googled places to eat and decided on Bumpa's . Here's what we ate there..... We started with pretzels and cheese. The pretzels almost tasted like a french toast stick. It was different, but we really loved it! The waitress was AWESOME. I wish so badly I knew her name. But, she explained the menu to us and detail and suggested that if we were to get some of their loaded fries, we share. Because they are huge. Good grief, they were bigger than huge! We had tons leftover, but they really were so good. I got a hot honey chicken sandwich (with pickles!). The pickles were so good! The sandwich was good, too. We really liked this place! I was really in the mood for sushi, so we found Shiki . I got the spicy tuna roll, Caleb got a lemon jalapeño roll (recommended by the waitress!)
