Monthly Musings {September 2024}

 Happy Thursday! Today I am linking up with Holly and Patty for the September edition of Monthly Musings!

Here are the prompts for today.....

1. I stick with my same routines pretty much all year long....same dinner time, same get in bed time, pretty much the same go to sleep time, same wake up time/morning routine....I thrive on a routine. But, if I get off of my routine, I just have to make myself get back into it asap.

2. Some of my favorites...

From Mix and Match Mama: Buffalo Ranch Chicken Tortilla Soup (it's in my slow cooker right now!), Chipotle Turkey Chili, Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Dip

Jessie James Decker Chicken Tortilla Soup (in her Just Eat cookbook) and her Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies (from her Just Feed Me cookbook)

Lasagna Soup (I use a recipe from @maggieeatsss on Tik Tok)

I haven't made them yet, but I am planning to soon, buuuut...Taylor Swift's Chai Tea Cookies

3. Jeans with a cute top or light sweater, a matching leggings and long sleeve shirt "athleisure" set, cute boots and/or booties, and fun sneakers.

This one is from Vuori, and I wear it at least once a week! Shirt | Leggings

4. I am really enjoying my classes this semester!

5. Yes! Elementary-high schools and colleges go pretty much all out around here. There's a big parade around town for the high school here. When we were in school, we always did a dress up week to celebrate.

6. Apple cider!

7. They do, but they haven't quite yet. A lot of them are just kind of dead 😂. I imagine they'll start turning within the next month.

8. Anything pumpkin!!

9. I think I'd have to go hayride. I hate the way a bonfire makes my hair and clothes smell- ha!

10. When I think of back to school, I automatically think of fall. One movie for sure would be You've Got Mail!

Have a great Thursday!

  1. Wow now see I would have said we celebrate homecoming here too but the local schools just have a dance and then the football game. They MAY have a small in school pep rally the afternoon before but that's it; no parades or anything!

Let's Look: March 2024

  I'm back!! Happy Wednesday!! It's the second Wednesday of the month, so that means it's time for LET'S LOOK with Shay and Erika!! In January, we "looked" at How We Clean Our Closets. In February, we "looked" at Little Things We Do Every Single Day. Today, we are "looking" at..... OUR GROCERY CARTS!!  Since I was in Nashville over the weekend, I had to run in Trader Joe's! So, I went ahead and did my grocery shopping for the week while I was there. Plus some other goodies too!  When I went to the TJ's in Huntsville, I said it was my favorite. BUT, I have found a new favorite. There are two locations in Nashville, and I've now been to both. The one on White Bridge Pike is FABULOUS! They had every single thing on my list, and then some. I've been to the other location over by Green Hills Mall, but I didn't look around much, so I can't really attest to how that one is.  I snapped this picture of my grocery cart! This i...

Caleb made me a cosmopolitan the other night. Yum! I am really going to miss this sight.... This is my favorite time of year for sure! Twinkly lights and candle light = the BEST. On my drive home from work yesterday.... This was a fun little surprise. I don't remember this from last year! I hope you all have a great weekend and a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday! Friday Favorites {10.18.24}

 Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! Ummm YAY!! I'm most excited about Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Angela from The Office is starring in that one!) and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story! For some foodie faves... This right here. It made my week. I'm obsessed with the tuna from Beagle Bagel. It's amazing. I can never say it enough! I made egg drop soup for the lunch the other day, and it was really good! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...
