What's Up Wednesday {October 2024}

 Happy Wednesday!! Here we are yet again at the end of another month that FLEW by! Today I am linking up with Sheaffer and Shay to share all about our October!

1: WHAT WE'RE EATING THIS WEEK

The only things we have all of the ingredients for are tacos and red beans and rice. I do want to make lasagna soup on Friday though!

2: WHAT I'M REMINISCING ABOUT

Well....for the rest of my life, I will be reminiscing about The Eras Tour. I have a full post on it here, but I'll share some pics in this post, too!

It was just such a perfect night!

3: WHAT I'M LOVING

My mornings are so much more festive now 😉.

4: WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO

Trying to catch up on our sleep 😂. We got back to my mom's house at like 3:45 Monday morning, and then Caleb and I headed home around 6:30. We basically just took a nap!

5: WHAT I'M DREADING

Nothing really at the moment!

6: WHAT I'M WORKING ON

My next class schedule! I had advising yesterday for my spring classes, so I'll be signing up for those soon.

7: WHAT I'M EXCITED ABOUT

All the holidays!! This is my very favorite time of year!!

8: WHAT I'M WATCHING/READING

Well, I'm currently watching all of the videos I took at The Eras Tour. I'm actually cracking myself up a little, I recorded only small clips (like my favorite parts of favorite songs, things I knew I wanted recorded, etc.) and then I would put my phone down to really enjoy it, but now I just wish I had somehow recorded the entire show 😂.

I'm taking forever to read one book, but I'll get there eventually.

9: WHAT I'M LISTENING TO

Aside from all of my Eras Tour videos, I am listening to Kelsea Ballerini's new album. It's so good!

10: WHAT I'M WEARING

Basically just this shirt....

and this sweatshirt!

11: WHAT I'M DOING THIS WEEKEND

Christmas decor is going up Friday! And then some of my family is coming to visit!

12: WHAT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH

So much! My mom's birthday, Thanksgiving food, one of my childhood friend's wedding....it's going to be a busy but fun month!

13: FAVORITE AMAZON PURCHASE THIS MONTH

Hands down, this faux tennis necklace. It is so pretty and sparkly, and I honestly can hardly tell it isn't real diamonds. I got the 15".

Have a happy Wednesday!

Friday Favorites {10.18.24}

 Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! Ummm YAY!! I'm most excited about Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Angela from The Office is starring in that one!) and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story! For some foodie faves... This right here. It made my week. I'm obsessed with the tuna from Beagle Bagel. It's amazing. I can never say it enough! I made egg drop soup for the lunch the other day, and it was really good! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...

Let's Look: September 2024

 Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...
