I accidentally made a really delicious pasta last week, and I think it's a new favorite around here!
Ok, I don't quite know what to call it so I am just going with Creamy Sausage Pasta. I used what we had in the pantry/fridge, and I kind of eyeballed everything, so I hope these measurements are right 😂. Here's the recipe!
Ingredients:
1 pound of your favorite link sausage (I used a cheesy deer sausage), sliced into rounds
Sliced mushrooms
1/2 pound penne pasta
1.5 cups chicken broth
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
1-2 cups spinach
Garlic powder, salt, pepper all to taste
Directions:
1. Sautee mushrooms in EVOO
2. Add in sausage and let it brown up
3. Once sausage is browned, add in uncooked pasta, broth, heavy cream, and seasonings. Let that come to a boil and then cover and let simmer until pasta is done and most of the liquid is absorbed (about 15 minutes).
4. When pasta is cooked, add in your spinach and let it wilt down.
5. Add in your parmesan and stir until it's melted. Enjoy!
