What's Up Wednesday: February 2025

Happy last Wednesday of February!! Well, unlike January, this month FLEW by. I know it's a bit shorter, but goodness January just drags, and then I feel like the rest of the year just speeds by.

As always for the last Wednesday of the month, I am linking up with Sheaffer and Shay to share a bit about the month.

1: WHAT WE'RE EATING THIS WEEK

Monday night we had this sausage pasta.

Tuesday we had frozen pizza.

Tonight we are going to a life group and will eat dinner there.

Tomorrow night will be red beans and rice.

Friday night I'm thinking Chick-fil-a or Mexican. I mean, it will be my birthday weekend! (So, probably Mexican 😉)

2: WHAT I'M REMINISCING ABOUT

I think every month lately has been this....

I have never been a beach person, but this winter I have really been looking forward to getting back to Florida!

3: WHAT I'M LOVING

This. This right here. 79???? Yes, please.

4: WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO

Work, school, same old same old.

5: WHAT I'M DREADING

In this moment, I am dreading unloading the dishwasher. Ha!

6: WHAT I'M WORKING ON

Some fun new blog post ideas....I have a couple of ideas saved in my notes for the next couple of weeks. But, if you have any topic ideas you want to see here, let me know!

7: WHAT I'M EXCITED ABOUT

I have a couple of packages on their way to me, so that's pretty exciting 😂.

8: WHAT I'M WATCHING/READING

I just started watching this....

Y'all, this show is SO cute. The banter between Bobbie and Gabby is very much like Reba and Barbara Jean, and I LOVE it.

I have a few books that I'm excited to read and will hopefully finish 😂. I've had the hardest time with reading the last year or so.

9: WHAT I'M LISTENING TO

My usual...Taylor, Sabrina, Kelsea, Chappell, Gracie.

10: WHAT I'M WEARING

I'm trying to incorporate some springy things! I feel like too springy is too early, but I don't want to pull out any dark colors- that feels too fallish.

11: WHAT I'M DOING THIS WEEKEND

I'm heading to Flora Saturday for my sister's open house at her nutrition shop, The Blend. If you're local, stop by!!

12: WHAT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH

SPRING.

13: FAVORITE PURCHASE THIS MONTH

I have a few things that still haven't been delivered, but I think this one takes the cake anyway! I was looking for something like this last year and never really found it.

Well, boo. It's sold out. There are two left of this one and this one, which are similar, as I'm typing this. Mimi Seabrook always has the cutest necklaces! If you aren't into the shells or if they sell out, they've got lots of other cute options!

Friday Favorites {10.18.24}

Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! Ummm YAY!! I'm most excited about Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Angela from The Office is starring in that one!) and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story! For some foodie faves... This right here. It made my week. I'm obsessed with the tuna from Beagle Bagel. It's amazing. I can never say it enough! I made egg drop soup for the lunch the other day, and it was really good! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...

Let's Look: September 2024

Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...
