What's Up Wednesday {March 2025}

 Happy Wednesday, friends!! I know, I say it every. single. month., but how in the world is March already almost over??? I'm linking up with Sheaffer and Shay to share all about the month!

1: WHAT WE'RE EATING THIS WEEK

Goat cheese and penne, red beans and rice, and turkey burgers are all on the menu this week!

2: WHAT I'M REMINISCING ABOUT

The Eras Tour....goodness I was really wanting to go back to this moment earlier this week. I will forever be so grateful for this day! Why couldn't it have lasted forever?? Hahaha

3: WHAT I'M LOVING

If you've been reading my blog the last week or so....

Then you know I have been obsessed with bright nail polishes! I am thinking bright will be my go to all spring and summer. (In order of the pics, L.A. Colors Lightening, DND Tropicana Daze, L.A. Colors Hyperactive)

4: WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO

School, work, same old same old.

5: WHAT I'M DREADING

It's been heavy on my mind this week....grad school 😳. It's kind of a nervous but excited situation. Mainly I am dreading the application process!

6: WHAT I'M WORKING ON

School work. Constantly- ha! One of my classes is all about applying what we've learned to real life scenarios, so that has been fun and interesting. I also recently got some observation hours, so I got to see what I will really be doing in my career someday!

7: WHAT I'M EXCITED ABOUT

As I am typing this post, this hasn't happened yet. But, when this post goes live, it will have already happened! I have been wanting to go to a head spa, and my sister gave me a gift card for my birthday- I am SO excited!

Update: It was AMAZING! Highly, HIGHLY recommend this experience!! If you are in or near Starkville, I went to Heavenly Hair and Head Spa.

8: WHAT I'M WATCHING/READING

Still watching and LOVING Abbott Elementary.

As for reading, I posted my first book review of the year yesterday! In case you missed it, I read two really good books!

9: WHAT I'M LISTENING TO

Just my usual- ha! Taylor, Sabrina, Chappell Roan, Kelsea, Gracie, and I have thrown in Ariana Grande recently. Plus, the Wicked soundtrack! And since I cannot get enough of Cynthia Erivo's voice...

She recently released this song, and I think she has an album coming out this summer.

10: WHAT I'M WEARING

These Mother jeans. (Y'all! They're on SALE! I sized UP from my usual 26/27 to a 29. I found them to run super tight!) I am wearing them as I type this post, and I wore them the day before as well. When I say I wear them multiple times a week, I mean it- ha! I usually pair with a cute top! 100% worth the price!

I am also bringing out the dresses- woohoo!

11: WHAT I'M DOING THIS WEEKEND

We are celebrating Caleb's brother's birthday, and then we have a senior party for a family friend (she was a bridesmaid in my wedding- can't believe she is graduating so soon!!).

12: WHAT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH

This boy will be turning SIX in April! As much as I would prefer he stay little forever, I am loving seeing his personality really come out! He is just so much fun!

Also, I'm excited for The Masters!! We did not get tickets, sadly. But, we did order the Taste of The Masters food box, so I am excited to try all the different foods!

13: FAVORITE PURCHASE THIS MONTH

I think that award goes to...

This dress! I am obsessed with it! (If your size is sold out there, here it is on the Farm Rio site! I got my regular size, but I could have easily sized down- this brand often runs big.) It's soooo good!!

What a month! Have a great day!

Let's Look: September 2024

 Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...

Friday Favorites {10.18.24}

 Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! Ummm YAY!! I'm most excited about Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Angela from The Office is starring in that one!) and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story! For some foodie faves... This right here. It made my week. I'm obsessed with the tuna from Beagle Bagel. It's amazing. I can never say it enough! I made egg drop soup for the lunch the other day, and it was really good! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...
