Hello Monday {10.27.25}

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend! I am linking up with Holly and Sarah today to share a bit about mine.

But first,

We have to reminisce for a minute. How in the world was this one year ago??? I may or may not be a little sad about it. Such a fun night that we looked forward to for a little over a year. I will forever be grateful that I got to experience this period, but especially with my sister! We still talk all the time about how much fun it was- memories to last a lifetime for sure!! You can read all about it here 💖.

Ok, now for the weekend stuff...

Our weekend started off my very favorite way....

Friday night Mexican. Yum!!

We ran in Marshall's after dinner to look for something for my sister. Starbucks is in the same shopping area, so when Caleb asked if I wanted to go, I could not pass it up!

PSL for me and Caleb was smart with his decaf white chocolate mocha!

Getting into a made bed might be one of my favorite things ever.

I love pulling back the covers and crawling in! It's the simple things in life....

Saturday was busy busy for me! I did lots of cleaning out, mostly my clothes and shoes, but I also decided to take out the long mirror that was in our bedroom.....

The wall looks so bare now, but I kinda like it! It almost makes the room feel bigger.

I also did some homework, and then we rushed to Zaxby's for a quick dinner before the Mississippi State game was over. We usually stay holed up at home on home game weekends, but we decided to brave it!

Sunday morning, I got up and got dressed so we could head out for groceries.

Our music for the car ride....

I am loving this new song from Megan Moroney!

Aldi for the bulk of our shopping! Our location just took out their self checkouts to "improve the customer experience"....let me just say that nothing about my experience was improved. The cashier scanned everything and threw it in our cart (busting a container of caramel), and then every one was off the side bagging their groceries before leaving. The world isn't going to end because of this, but it was just annoying, ya know?

Kroger for gas and the rest of our groceries. We had $1 off of gas, and I got so excited because my gas was only $17. This is cause for celebration, right??!

Back home and time to do more school work and a cup of tea! Sinus congestion called for a honey turmeric vitality tea with extra honey and turmeric, plus a lemon wedge.

Pretty grocery store flowers! I don't know why, but I don't usually buy many flowers in the fall and winter months. This year I am loving all the fall colors and varieties, though!

I cooked! I honestly do not remember the last time I actually cooked something. I have warmed up things but have not really cooked in forever 😂. I made Mix and Match Mama's chipotle pumpkin pasta- a fall fave of mine! I also made these brussels sprouts, but I used maple syrup instead of honey. I am not usually a brussels sprout fan, but I wanted to try some and these are delish! Yummy dinner last night and will make great lunches for me this week! I am trying to be better about making sure I have lunches for work, so that I am not packing random junk every day.

Ok, that does it for a cozy, fall weekend! (I forgot to mention it rained all day yesterday, so I of course loved that!) Have a great Monday!!

Happy Friday, friends!! How was your week? One of my summer classes started this week, so I have been getting back into a bit of a routine which is nice! As always, I am linking up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from the week.  How cute is our new wreath sash?? My mom got it for us, and I am obsessed! Lots of food faves this week.... Another salsa I am now obsessed with! I found this at Aldi, and y'all it is SO good! I used it in a recipe, but I am definitely going to get another jar to eat for a snack or with lunch or dinner! Now for a Tik Tok "recipe". I used quotations, because it's really just a chop/open a can and throw together situation. Corn, black beans, pinto beans, onion, tomato, cilantro. I ate it with tortilla chips for lunch this week. It was so good! Next time, I would add more tomato and use less onion (maybe even no onion at all), and I should have chopped up the cilantro a little better! I also squeezed in some lime juice and added salt a...

Happy last Friday of August! As always, I am here to link up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from my week.  To be honest, it feels out of touch to make this post. After the devastating news of yet another school shooting, my heart is so heavy. Innocent lives taken and still no changes from people in power. I honestly do not know how anyone can see news like this and not be enraged and demanding for change. I do not get political on here, because that is not what I want for this space. However, I feel the need to share my thoughts about this. America needs gun control. ALL Americans need access to healthcare, especially when it comes to mental health. America needs change. Remember these things when you vote. Think about your babies, their friends, their teachers. Stay aware, stay educated. But also please make sure you spend time doing things that bring you joy (it's good for your mental health!). That is at least what I am going to do. With that being said, here ar...
