Hot Springs {Part Two}

 Happy Tuesday, friends!! Today I am sharing part TWO of our Hot Springs, Arkansas, trip right before Christmas!

Sunday, December 21

On our second full day, we headed to Oaklawn for the horse races! I have to admit, I did not want to go to this. But once I got there, it was so much more fun than I expected. I actually really loved it! I definitely recommend this if you're traveling to Hot Springs!

Once we left Oaklawn, we headed downtown. We kind of "talked up" the Arlington "haunted" hotel, and Reid was so excited for that- lol. We stopped by the cute gingerbread house in the lobby and wrote a letter to Santa. Then, we headed upstairs to see if we could see any hauntings 😆. Nada.

We walked around a bit and went inside the bathhouse museum. So interesting.

The downtown area is adorable and has so many little shops and boutiques. My favorite was the soapery!

This was such a fun day! Have a great Tuesday!

  1. This makes me miss Hot Springs! I grew up going there with my Dad, but we usually just stayed more at the condo and did the water activities on Lake Hamilton. I love Bathhouse Row! I did that one year- got a bath/massage package for an afternoon. It was amazing!

    1. That sounds like so much fun! I bet the bath and massage was fabulous! That’s something I wish we had done while we were there.

 Happy Friday, friends!! How was your week? One of my summer classes started this week, so I have been getting back into a bit of a routine which is nice! As always, I am linking up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from the week.  How cute is our new wreath sash?? My mom got it for us, and I am obsessed! Lots of food faves this week.... Another salsa I am now obsessed with! I found this at Aldi, and y'all it is SO good! I used it in a recipe, but I am definitely going to get another jar to eat for a snack or with lunch or dinner! Now for a Tik Tok "recipe". I used quotations, because it's really just a chop/open a can and throw together situation. Corn, black beans, pinto beans, onion, tomato, cilantro. I ate it with tortilla chips for lunch this week. It was so good! Next time, I would add more tomato and use less onion (maybe even no onion at all), and I should have chopped up the cilantro a little better! I also squeezed in some lime juice and added salt a...

 Happy Friday, friends!! And Merry Christmas Eve Eve Eve Eve Eve- that's a thing, right??😂 I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from the week, and then I will be off for the holidays! My plan is to see y'all back here on January 13! For some food faves.... I grabbed the raspberry kringle at Aldi the other day after seeing so many positive reviews on it. It is really good!! I had some with a cup of coffee a couple times this week! Last night, Caleb made lasagna soup- YUM. Definitely a favorite of mine lately! A great way to end the night.... Caleb made me a cosmopolitan the other night. Yum! I am really going to miss this sight.... This is my favorite time of year for sure! Twinkly lights and candle light = the BEST. On my drive home from work yesterday.... This was a fun little surprise. I don't remember this from last year! I hope you all have a great weekend and a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday! However, whatever, whenever, whereve...

 Happy last Friday of August! As always, I am here to link up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from my week.  To be honest, it feels out of touch to make this post. After the devastating news of yet another school shooting, my heart is so heavy. Innocent lives taken and still no changes from people in power. I honestly do not know how anyone can see news like this and not be enraged and demanding for change. I do not get political on here, because that is not what I want for this space. However, I feel the need to share my thoughts about this. America needs gun control. ALL Americans need access to healthcare, especially when it comes to mental health. America needs change. Remember these things when you vote. Think about your babies, their friends, their teachers. Stay aware, stay educated. But also please make sure you spend time doing things that bring you joy (it's good for your mental health!). That is at least what I am going to do. With that being said, here ar...
