Let's talk WELLNESS!! If you remember, my words for 2026 are Gratitude, Intention, Harmony, and Wellness. I decided that I want to make posts highlighting how each of those words is coming to fruition in my life.
Today, I am sharing all about my wellness routine lately.
Herbalife.
My sister owns an Herbalife Nutrition Club, and I have loved their teas for many years now. What I didn't realize for so long, though, were the benefits. My favorite drinks are the 'Specialties'. They are packed full of protein and collagen. I also like to add probiotic. These give great energy, and I don't feel starving by lunch time. All of the items in this photo make "Pretty n Pink".
Gut Health- Probiotic/Fiber.
This has been something that I am trying so hard to add into my diet lately. Colon cancers scares the heck out of me. Like I said earlier, I add probiotic into my teas.
I also love these Yoggies fruit bites, and I love even more that they have probiotic in them. I like the strawberry flavor the best!
Grüns are another way I am improving my gut health. They're not the most delicious, but they're not nasty. There are several other added benefits like immunity, energy, cognition, and more.
Showers/Baths.
I mean, obviously I do this daily, lol. BUT, I like to amp things up a bit.
We got these along with our new shower head, and it feels like a real spa experience. Plus, the eucalyptus scent is so good for you!
I love a bath! I always add in epsom salts. I like to light a candle. I also make sure to have lots of water near me. A really hot bath is a great way to detox!
Essential Oils.
Do we know if these for sure do anything? I don't know. But diffusing them makes things feel cleaner and like they're at least helping a little bit. Whenever we feel like we're getting sick, I start the diffuser. But make no mistake, I am also pounding Ibuprofen, Zyrtec, and Benadryl 😂 .
Balanced Eating/Drinking.
Here's the deal....life is just too short to not eat the things I love. Sometimes the things I love are salads, high protein meals, or water with lemon. Other times, I want pasta with a rich sauce and a glass of wine or chips and dip at Mexican with a marg. Being able to balance those foods is one of the healthiest outlooks on eating in my opinion.
Calorie Deficit/Exercise.
Full transparency here- there are times in my life when, yes, I eat in a calorie deficit. I never do this long term, and I still enjoy my favorite food and drink. I use My Fitness Pal to track. If I am eating something that isn't super easy to track, I just either do the best I can or skip it and move on. I also incorporate exercise into this.
My exercise includes light weight lifting/wearing a weighted vest, the walking pad, and the Peloton bike. I do enjoy all of these, but I never go crazy. My main goal with calorie deficit and exercise is to keep my body moving and to feel comfortable in my clothes. I never want tracking my calories or exercise to consume my life- it's far too short!
I would say wellness is going pretty well so far this year! What's in your wellness routine??
Have a great day!
