Friday Favorites {2.03.23}

Happy first Friday of February! As always, I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea to share my faves from the week.
Did you catch my book review on Tuesday?! I read some really great books, and so far my February reads are off to a GREAT start! I already can't wait to share what I'm reading! In the meantime, all of these books were sooooo good.

On Wednesday, I shared what all I grabbed from Trader Joe's last weekend!

On Monday, I ran in Marshalls to look for a coffee mug.
I left with all of this. #OOPS I got some cute springy decor and a random sweater. But no coffee mug. 😂

I found these placemats on a random shelf, and I love them! They are for sure a new FAVORITE!
This week in Bible Recap world, we started on our THIRD book of the Bible. We started in Genesis, jumped over and read Job, then went back and finished Genesis. Now we're in Exodus! This is my very FAVORITE part of my day. I love sitting down all comfy with a cup of coffee and Jesus.
It has been FREEZING here this week! I'm kind of loving but still kind of wishing for summer.
This was me all bundled up and ready to head out for work on Wednesday.
My color scarf is sold out, but this color is super cute.
My puffer coat is a few years old, but this one is similar from the same brand. And 50% off!
These gloves are almost identical to mine.
New skincare fave alert! I recently decided I wanted to up my skincare game, and I landed on Dr. Lancer's The Method.
The Method is a three step process: Polish, Cleanse, and Nourish. My skin is so incredibly soft after using this trio. You can do all three steps am and pm- I feel like I have just left the spa twice a day now! I have seen Candace Cameron Bure RAVE about Dr. Lancer for so many years, so I decided to take the plunge with Candace's At Home Facial in a Bag, and I am loving it. It's such an incredible deal at $66.50 on QVC. It even comes with a FULL SIZE...
Caviar Lime Acid Peel. This retails at $97 by itself. With the facial in a bag you're getting travel sizes of The Method PLUS that full size acid peel. That has to be a favorite!! I have jumped around with my skincare so much the past few years, but I truly see myself sticking with Dr. Lancer.

I also want to try the Eye Contour Cream with Diamond Powder. Sounds fancy!

I hope you all have a great weekend!

  3. It is so cold here too, bleh. I don't like to drive in gloves, but even I had to make an exception last night, ha! "Cute [fill-in-the-blank season] decor and a random sweater" is my life at Marshall's. You got some fun things! :)

  4. The Rose Code was so good! The Perfect Marriage is on my to read list. It's very hard to go into Marshalls for just one thing....just like Target!

Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! Ummm YAY!! I'm most excited about Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Angela from The Office is starring in that one!) and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story! For some foodie faves... This right here. It made my week. I'm obsessed with the tuna from Beagle Bagel. It's amazing. I can never say it enough! I made egg drop soup for the lunch the other day, and it was really good! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...

Let's Look: September 2024

Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...
