What's Up Wednesday {February 2023}

Happy Wednesday! And happy only two more work days for me!🎉 I'm linking up with Sheaffer and Shay to let you in on what's been up with us lately!

 1: WHAT WE'RE EATING THIS WEEK:

Caleb made our meal plan for the week. Here's what he's planning...

Monday: I got in around 6, so we just had whatever for dinner. Caleb had a sandwich, and I had popcorn. #balance

Tuesday: Chicken fajitas

Wednesday: Steak with baked potatoes

Thursday: Grilled shrimp with sautéed mushrooms and onions with green beans

2: WHAT I'M REMINISCING ABOUT:

Way back in 2019, my sister got a trip to New York for her 16th birthday. Our plan was to go that next either summer or Christmas. Well, we all know what that means. Trip put on major hold thanks to a pandemic. Now that she's 18, we've finally found a time to go, so I'm of course reminiscing about the Big Apple!

These pics are all from my first trip in 2017.

Don't let the little blue bag fool ya, it was just a free booklet.😂 I did try on some super fancy and super expensive diamond rings, though!

Me and Robin...#MississippiGirls I had us all up at like 5 o'clock so we could watch GMA live and in person! Definitely one of the most fun things I've ever done!

Me and mom at Wicked! It was sooo good. We were literally on the very last row and still had a perfect view.

3: WHAT I'M LOVING:

I am obsessed with all things Maracuja right now! I've included it in a few Friday Favorites posts lately, but here's what I'm using.
This "Juicy Shift" is so cool. When you put it on, the pH in your lips turns it pink! It's such a pretty pink, too. There's no orange at all! You can also use it on your cheeks, but I haven't tried that yet.
This is the one that started my addiction. This one is in cherry blossom.
And then I love this one. I have it in hibiscus.

4: WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO:

Caleb and I have both been up to...starting our own businesses! He's starting a woodworking business on the side. He loves to build things, and he also got an X-carve machine. Here's something he carved for me...

As for me, I started a business with Monat, selling hair/skin/wellness products! If you want to follow along on this journey, you can follow me over on Instagram @maddiebuckner4 or send me an email (everydaymaddie@gmail.com), and I'll answer any questions you may have!

5: WHAT I'M DREADING:

Ugh. Y'all. I leave to go out of town on Friday morning, and Caleb is going out of town on Sunday. We won't see each other for like 8 or 9 days. Boo. Plus he'll be gone on my birthday. Double boo. Such is life.

6: WHAT I'M WORKING ON:

I'm working on all things content creation to help boost my Monat business. If you have any tips/suggestions, give em to me! I made my first Reel the other day. I think I did a pretty good job, but there's still a lot that I don't know how to do.

7: WHAT I'M EXCITED ABOUT:

I'm excited about SPRING! It'll be here so soon, and I'm so excited. I'm definitely feeling all those winter blues feelings currently. I'm just tired of super cold days, especially when we get a random, beautiful day with 60-70 degree temps.

8: WHAT I'M WATCHING/READING:

I'm still over here watching Modern Family and The Office. As far as what I'm reading, check back on TUESDAY for my February book review! I'm so excited to share these reads with you. I think I have already found my #1 for the year!

If you need some book inspo, here is my January book review!

9: WHAT I'M LISTENING TO:

I'm listening to a lot of early 2000s female country- Faith and Shania, please!

10: WHAT I'M WEARING:

I got some cute things from Target this past weekend! We have lots of 70 degree days in the forecast, so I'm incorporating some short sleeved tops into my wardrobe!

11: WHAT I'M DOING THIS WEEKEND:

I'm going to Dallas this weekend! The only time I've ever been doesn't really even count, because I was in the airport the whole time.😂 My sister has a cheer competition, and we're staying with one of my mom's best friends who just moved there last summer. We're so excited to see her!

12: WHAT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH:

My birthday is next month! I know it's just another day, but I love it! I also have a fun blog post ready to go for that day!

13: FAVORITE AMAZON PURCHASE THIS MONTH:

Last month my Amazon finds were not great, but I have two favorites this month!

Fancy Ashley shared this, and I couldn't hit add to cart any quicker! I've been searching for a good pink lipstick, and this one is so good! And the price!! You can't beat that.
My hair brush had seen better days, so I grabbed this one after Megan shared it!

Well that's what was up with our February! How was your month?!

  1. I love that top you found at Target. And my husband is going to miss our anniversary this year and I'm so sad so I get your sad that your partner will miss your birthday. Work trips should be outlawed on special occasions.

  2. That top is so cute; our weather is months away from short sleeves, I'm sure. That cutting board is beautiful.

Friday Favorites {9.1.23}

  Happy Friday!! Happy SEPTEMBER!! And happy Labor Day weekend! Lots of HAPPY on this Friday morning!  As always, I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea to bring you some faves from the week!  Well, I couldn't hold out any longer... Yesterday I put out the fall decor! (I'll have a full fall "home tour" up soon!) Isn't this just so cozy?? It may be 90 degrees outside, but inside my home you'd never know!  All the PUMPKIN coffees.  My favorite Starbucks order is a Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew. Once it gets a lot cooler, I'll switch to a hot PSL.  My morning coffee though...  I added a little pumpkin spice to the top! This mug is just so happy! (I can't find my exact one, but it was $5 at Target! (This one is similar, and I might even like it a little better!) If you caught my What's Up Wednesday post earlier this week, then you probably know that this.... is my favorite night gown!! I've washed it several times, though I don't recommend putti

Friday Favorites {12.8.23}

  Happy Friday, friends!! Today I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea to bring you some favorites from my week!  If you missed yesterday's post, it was my ONE YEAR BLOGIVERSARY! One year ago, I set out to do something I've wanted to do for a very long time. I have loved this year of blogging! If you come here each week to read my blog, THANK YOU!! I appreciate your support more than you know!  I have loved the truffles from Aldi, so when I saw these chocolates I knew I had to try them. They are AMAZING. I've been eating a bit of some each night after dinner! If you see them, grab them!  I think I feel more like an adult when I have fresh flowers in the kitchen 😂. These red carnations are so cheerful!  A couple months ago, Caleb decided we needed an espresso machine...so on Black Friday he found one on a pretty good deal and went for it. We're considering it our Christmas to each other 😉. Friends, I mean it when I say if I never go back to Starbucks again, I would
