Let’s Look: May 2023

Hey Wednesday! Grab a cup of coffee, cozy up, and join me for my morning routine! I'm linking up with Shay and Erika for the May edition of Let's Look!

In January, we looked at Scheduling/Organizing a Busy Family.

In February, we looked at What's In Our Medicine Cabinets.

In March, we looked at our All Time Favorite Amazon Finds.

In April, we looked at our Biggest Pet Peeves.

Today we're "looking" at...OUR MORNING ROUTINES.

As soon as a I wake up, I have to brush my teeth.

Then, I head to the coffee maker. We LOVE our coffee maker.

Once I make my cup of coffee, I head to the couch to get started on The Bible Recap!

I start with the scripture reading, the study guide, and then I listen to the podcast.

Depending on how much time I have after reading my Bible, I just sit and sip my coffee. I usually scroll Instagram, read other blogs, or read my book before I have to get ready.

Most of the time lately, I take my shower in the morning. I feel a little more productive rather than taking one at night. After my shower, I do all of my skincare. Then I get dressed, do my makeup, then hair, and I save jewelry and shoes for last.

If you don't have a pair of slippers you love, you should! I wear mine every morning and every night! They keep my feet nice and cozy while getting ready.

While I’m getting ready, I like to listen to a podcast, watch a show, or listen to music.

My favorite podcasts are Office Ladies, Candace Cameron Bure, and The Bestie Breakdown. I've also been listening to lots of Taylor Swift lately!

After I'm completely ready, and if I have time, I make the bed. My life feels so much more put together when the bed is made.

Our new bed made our room so much cozier!!

I’m not a huge breakfast eater, but some mornings I need a little something. I usually go for some type of breakfast sandwich or a bar. I've also been eating oatmeal a good bit lately.

Before I head out the door, I fill up my Stanley with water for the day. I try to drink a whole one in the morning and fill up again at lunch. It doesn't always happen, but I still set that goal for myself everyday.

Have a happy Wednesday!

  1. Nice morning routine! I love your cozy slippers. I didn’t take a picture of mine because I have worn them to death and one of them has a hole. I’ve made strong hints that I need a new pair for Mother’s Day!

  2. I always try to drink a full Yeti of ice water by lunch and then a second one by dinner; lately that's actually been the case too!

Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! Let's Look: September 2024

Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...
