What's Up Wednesday {August 2023}

Hello Wednesday!! How are we already at the end of August?? It FLEW by for me, what about you?? Today, I'm linking up with Sheaffer and Shay to bring you WHAT'S UP WEDNESDAY!

1: WHAT WE'RE EATING THIS WEEK

Monday night we had Cheesy Ranch Tacos. Last night we had a sheet pan dinner. SO easy and SO delish. We had sausage, potatoes, and onions on it.

For the rest of the week we have a rotisserie chicken with veggies, and hamburgers with bakes potatoes. Kinda boring, but I shopped the pantry before making my grocery list, because we had TONS of stuff we had not eaten yet.

2: WHAT I'M REMINISCING ABOUT

I'm really reminiscing about the days it used to rain in Starkville😂. GOSH we need it to rain so bad!

3: WHAT I'M LOVING

I am super obsessed with skin care and Lake pajamas right now. Basically, I just love nighttime😂.

This is my favorite nightgown!! My exact color way isn't available anymore, but I love this one.  And honestly, you can't go wrong with any color or style. They are SO soft!

This is what I have been using as my night cream, and to say I'm obsessed with it is an understatement. The first night I used it, I texted my sister that NO JOKE, my fine lines were GONE. I mean, they aren't gone, but they have definitely diminished.

4: WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO

This past weekend we took an impromptu day trip to Birmingham, and it was SO much fun! We went to Top Golf, shopped a little, and had dinner at one of our favorite places!

5: WHAT I'M DREADING

Sooo many assignments due soon. I'm trying to find my "groove" with getting assignments completed and studying.

6: WHAT I'M WORKING ON

I'm doing school work and Caleb is working from home right now. I'm also working on catching up on The Bible Recap. I am sooo behind, but I've been doing pretty good about catching up.

7: WHAT I'M EXCITED ABOUT

I'm SO excited to put out my fall decor! I'm thinking I'll do that one day next week.

8: WHAT I'M WATCHING/READING

Honestly, friends...I haven't read a single thing this month (for fun, I should add- I'm looking at you textbooks!). I did add six books to my Kindle yesterday, though. I'm hopeful for September's reads! Here's my latest book review from July!

I also just started rewatching Reba for the millionth time. It's suuuuch a good show! As for Caleb, he is watching Suits.

9: WHAT I'M LISTENING TO

I mean, if you've been here the last few months, you probably know my answer. To be more specific, I'm currently listening to "ivy" as I type this- that's been a fave lately. I've also been listening to the Barbie soundtrack! It's so fun!

10: WHAT I'M WEARING

Lots of tennis skirts! This one is my favorite right now.

I'm in a small.

11: WHAT I'M DOING THIS WEEKEND

We're headed to the beach! I haven't been in a while, so I'm excited! We'll get to visit with my mom's best friend from college who lives at the beach (and her family), so that will be the BEST!

12: WHAT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH

The first "BER" month!! We're just getting closer and closer to all of my favorite things...Christmas, yummy foods/desserts, extra family time, football, cozy nights in, the list goes on!

13: FAVORITE AMAZON PURCHASE THIS MONTH

I haven't actually used this yet, but I have seen SO many Tik Tok videos discussing the benefits of using castor oil. The most common advice was to get one that is organic, hexane free, and in a glass bottle. So, I landed on this brand. We'll see if I notice any significant changes once I start using it. Just do a quick Google search (or look it up on TT) and you'll get TONS of info on it!

I hope you all had a great AUGUST! September is sure to be wonderful!!

Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...

Let's Look: September 2024

Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...
