One Year "Blogiversary"

 It's my one year BLOGIVERSARY! One year ago, I decided to finally go for it and start a blog!

If you have read my blog in any capacity over the last year, THANK YOU! This has honestly been a dream of mine for close to ten years, and I'm so glad I decided to START!!

In honor of my "blogiversary", here's a look back over the last year....

My very first post was a What I Wore Wednesday.

I decorated my own home for Christmas for the first time!

I shared a recipe for the first time. This will always be one of our favorites!

I posted 9 entries before taking a break for the Christmas season. I jumped back into blog world in the new year.

I started reading more and writing BOOK REVIEWS!

We have "looked" at so much with this linky party I join once a month. {Shay's blog; Erika's blog}

I have shared countless "favorites" in another linky party!! {Erika's blog; Andrea's blog}

Caleb and I celebrated ONE YEAR of marriage!

We were either wheels up or putting lots and lots of miles on our cars throughout the year. Memories were made and good times were had!!

I made JAM!! We've finished all 13 jars- I think it's time to make more!

I fell in love with Aldi. And became what I like to call a "Trader Joe's Connoisseur".

We've made minor home updates here and there and are continuing to do so.

The sweetest and most perfect nephew I could ever ask for (no I'm not biased, why would you ask??😉), tuned four and started Pre-K. He's grown so much over this last year- it's crazy!

I have blogged SO MUCH over the last year, and I've had so much fun doing so. If you're reading today, I want to say thank you, thank you, thank you. From the bottom of my heart, I so appreciate you being here and joining my little journey!

Again, thank you all so much for supporting me! Have a very happy Thursday!!

 Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! Ummm YAY!! I'm most excited about Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Angela from The Office is starring in that one!) and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story! For some foodie faves... This right here. It made my week. I'm obsessed with the tuna from Beagle Bagel. It's amazing. I can never say it enough! I made egg drop soup for the lunch the other day, and it was really good! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...

Let's Look: September 2024

 Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...
