Monthly Musings {June 2024}

 Happy Thursday! I'm here to link up with Holly and Patty for Monthly Musings!

This month's topic is......Summer Travel and Traditions!

1. Saturday, we are headed to the beach! Caleb and I are planning a trip for next month to Charleston. Other than that, no set summer plans!

2. Family beach trips!

3. Our usual spots are Navarre or somewhere along 30A, and occasionally Destin!

4. Hmmmm...really neither, but of the two I'm going ocean. I won't get in it though 😂.

5. Packing cubes!!! I also have a Let's Look post here that talks all about my best travel tips!

6. Anything Nancy Meyers. I want all the coastal grans, pretty houses, and sweet love stories!

7. White wine, Rose, and anything sparkling or fruity!

8. Right now, I am loving Espresso and Please, Please, Please by Sabrina Carpenter. They both just feel like summer! Also anything Kenny Chesney- that just feels like my childhood! And of course I can't not mention something Taylor....anything from Lover or 1989 feels like summer to me, august, the last great american dynasty, and so many more. I could go on forever...😂

9. On my burger, I want mayo and ketchup, onions, cheese, pickles, maybe some jalapeños. On a hot dog, mustard and ketchup only!

10. Gas!!

Always a fun link up! What are you up to this summer??

  2. I like to walk along the ocean and get my feet wet but I don't really enjoy going into the ocean and swimming or anything (though my family can usually talk me into it for just a little while). I just find the waves and the animals too intimidating. I hope you have lots of fun on your trip!

Friday Favorites {10.18.24}

 Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! Ummm YAY!! I'm most excited about Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Angela from The Office is starring in that one!) and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story! For some foodie faves... This right here. It made my week. I'm obsessed with the tuna from Beagle Bagel. It's amazing. I can never say it enough! I made egg drop soup for the lunch the other day, and it was really good! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...

Let's Look: September 2024

 Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...
