Friday Favorites {2.27.26}

 Happy happy Friday! I hope you all had a great week! As always, I am linking up with Andrea and Erika to share some faves from the week. First things first. We actually had a normal week this week at school. No field trips. No programs. No events. No holiday. No party. No special classes moved around or canceled. Just straight up normal. And that was so nice and so needed! (Well, I say that, but we actually do have a school fundraising event tonight that I'm excited for!) I got my diploma framed! And I just happened to be in an Ole Miss sweatshirt while holding my MS State degree....if you know you know haha. #SECRivalry And for those that don't know, State and Ole Miss are a huge rivalry here in Mississippi when it comes to sports (and the fans can get pretty nasty with each other). I grew up an Ole Miss fan and even went to school there for a few years. And now Caleb and I both have degrees from State, but we will always cheer for Ole Miss! And maybe even State too haha. I w...

GRATITUDE.

 At the beginning of the year, I shared my words for 2026 with you all. They are Gratitude, Intention, Harmony, and Wellness. A couple weeks ago, I shared a post on WELLNESS. Today, let's talk about GRATITUDE.  Life can get busy. Times can get hard. But the moment I take the time to look around and show gratitude for the things I have and the people in my life, things seem to calm down. Being grateful, truly grateful, can really shift your perspective- at least it does mine. Here are some things I am so grateful for in my life- big and small and in no particular order.... My family.  Our home.  My marriage.  Clothes.  Shoes.  My coffee maker.  Food and drink.  My job.  Our cars.  Desperate Housewives.  Candles.  Fresh flowers.  Our favorite Mexican restaurants.  Spicy margaritas. Financial stability.  Our furniture.  This blog and especially those who read it. Lake pajamas. My phone. Watching my favorit...

What's Up Wednesday {February 2026}

 How in the world is this the last week of February?? It went by so quickly! I am linking up with Sheaffer and Shay to share all about my month.  1: WHAT WE'RE EATING THIS WEEK When I was growing up, we had "fend for yourself night" when my mom wasn't cooking and didn't want to go anywhere. We are doing that every night this week 😂. Well, except for Monday night- we had our last Hello Fresh meal. This one was really good! Pork Taqueria Bowls. Yum!  2: WHAT I'M REMINISCING ABOUT I started thinking the other day about how it has been three years since The Eras Tour started. I've been thinking about the show Libbey and I went to a lot the last few days. Goodness it was so fun!!  3: WHAT I'M LOVING I've mentioned this a couple times lately... OPI'm a Bubble Bunny nail polish! It's so pretty, and I love the simple and clean look. 4: WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO Not a whole lot. Mainly work. 5: WHAT I'M DREADING Nothing at the moment! 6: WHAT I...

Hello Monday {2.23.26}

 Hello Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend! I am linking up with Holly and Sarah today to share a bit about mine. Spoiler, it was very boring hahaha. Good news! We finished the puzzle! We actually finished it Thursday night, but we finished it so late that I didn't get a chance to add it to my Friday Favorites post. Caleb worked on Saturday, so I just chilled. I ended up throwing together a butter and garlic pasta for myself for lunch.  I did my nails. I usually never redo the same shade two times in a row, but I am stuck on Bubble Bunny now! Pre dinner snack! We love this Siete salsa, but our favorite is the spicy version! I'm trying to cut out wine at home, so I've been drinking a sparkling water in my wine glasses. Not quite the same, lol. Caleb made the 'Firehouse Cheeseburgers' from Hello Fresh, and they were delish!  I read a little bit of my new book when I got in bed. If you don't follow Kendall Mariah on Tik Tok or Instagram, you should check her...

Friday Favorites {2.20.26}

 Happy Friday, friends! I hope you all had a great week! As always, I am linking up with Andrea and Erika to share some favorites from my week. Heads up, my faves include a lot of food this week 😂. We love this Palmetto cheese! So good with wheat thins for a snack or easy lunch. I pulled this out of my lip stick bag this week. I had totally forgotten I had it! This shade is poppy- it's so pretty! I've been wearing it non stop since then. We didn't realize our Hello Fresh order was going through to be delivered this week. We didn't get to choose our meals, but they weren't too bad. We still have two more, but here's what we've eaten so far... Rajas quesadillas- no meat, but still filling and so good! Crispy parmesan chicken with carrots and couscous. Interesting to say the least! I actually really like the couscous. Caleb loved the chicken. Greek salad turkey lettuce wraps. I really liked this one, but it's not really Caleb's jam. My favorite part of...

Lent

 Happy Thursday! I am not feeling too great and don't have a full post in me right now, so I thought I would share this quote with you all. So very true! Do you give up anything for Lent? I say I am giving up online shopping (or really unnecessary purchases), so we'll see. Have a great day!

WELLNESS.

 Let's talk WELLNESS!! If you remember, my words for 2026 are Gratitude, Intention, Harmony, and Wellness. I decided that I want to make posts highlighting how each of those words is coming to fruition in my life.  Today, I am sharing all about my wellness routine lately. Herbalife. My sister owns an Herbalife Nutrition Club, and I have loved their teas for many years now. What I didn't realize for so long, though, were the benefits. My favorite drinks are the 'Specialties'. They are packed full of protein and collagen. I also like to add probiotic. These give great energy, and I don't feel starving by lunch time. All of the items in this photo make "Pretty n Pink". Gut Health- Probiotic/Fiber. This has been something that I am trying so hard to add into my diet lately. Colon cancers scares the heck out of me. Like I said earlier, I add probiotic into my teas. I also love these Yoggies fruit bites, and I love even more that they have probiotic in them. I l...
