What's Up Wednesday {March 2023}

Hey! What's up with your Wednesday?! I'm linking up with Sheaffer and Shay to give you all the details of my March!

1: WHAT WE'RE EATING THIS WEEK:

Sunday night we ate some chips and ranch dip. #balance

Monday: Chicken Gyros

Tuesday: I ate a salad, cookies, and chips and salsa while Caleb was in class. Again, balance.😂

Wednesday: Maybe we'll cook tonight. Maybe we won't. The plan is my Goat Cheese and Penne!

Thursday: Ham and cheese sliders with mac and cheese

Friday: Shrimp Alfredo

Saturday night will probably be dinner out!

2: WHAT I'M REMINISCING ABOUT:

Is it weird to say I'm reminiscing about all the quarantine memories?

This was our Easter 2020.

This tiny baby who wasn't quite a year old here will be FOUR in two weeks. Gah time moves too quickly.

My #1💙💙💙

3: WHAT I'M LOVING:

Warmer weather! Yesterday was a little chilly in the morning and evening but middle of the day was fabulous!

4: WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO:

Gardening!! I'm having to text my mom every day though to ask if I should water the plants. 😂

5: WHAT I'M DREADING:

Ummmm...honestly, I'm not really dreading anything right now!

6: WHAT I'M WORKING ON:

Tomorrow is my MARCH BOOK REVIEW!!! I''m working on getting that finished up! Come back here tomorrow morning for that!

Until then, here are my previous book reviews from this year!

7: WHAT I'M EXCITED ABOUT:

I'm excited for another chill weekend at home!

8: WHAT I'M WATCHING/READING:

Caleb and I just watched all of The Hunger Games movies this week! I did start a few books that I just couldn't get into, but I read some other really great books that I'm sharing tomorrow!!

9: WHAT I'M LISTENING TO:

Alllllll the Taylor Swift!

10: WHAT I'M WEARING:

Spring dresses, please! I'm so so so happy for this warm weather! Also, I'm back on Tik Tok where I occasionally post OOTDs....I'm @maddie.buckner over there! But I also randomly delete the app and swear I'm never getting back on it ever again, so here's your heads up.😜

I also reorganized my closet on Monday!

BEFORE...

AFTER...

Sooooo much better!

11: WHAT I'M DOING THIS WEEKEND:

We're trying to find a church to go to in Starkville, so we'll be trying out another one this Sunday. Other than that, NOTHING!

12: WHAT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH:

Easter!! Easter is my very favorite holiday. Yes, I love it more than Christmas.😝 I'm just always in complete awe at what Jesus did for us on that cross. Friends, if you don't know Jesus, please reach out- to me, a friend, anyone!

13: FAVORITE AMAZON PURCHASE THIS MONTH:

I bought more on Amazon this month than I have in a really long time, but the purchase that stands out to me most is....

I've been looking around at different under eye masks for a while, and I finally decided on these! So far, I'm loving them! My eyes are super puffy some mornings, depending on what I ate/drank the night before, and these help SO much. I leave them on longer than the package says to, though. I put them on right when I wake up and wear them while I do my quiet time. So, I wear them about 45 minutes to an hour.

Have a very happy WEDNESDAY!!

Friday Favorites {10.18.24}

Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! Ummm YAY!! I'm most excited about Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Angela from The Office is starring in that one!) and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story! For some foodie faves... This right here. It made my week. I'm obsessed with the tuna from Beagle Bagel. It's amazing. I can never say it enough! I made egg drop soup for the lunch the other day, and it was really good! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...

Let's Look: September 2024

Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...
