Nashville Recap

Happy Thursday, friends! I just got back from a long weekend in Nashville to see my dad and stepmom, and I'm sharing all about it today!

My sister and her boyfriend picked me up on Friday afternoon, and we hit the road. Libbey brought me a tea for the drive! We got in pretty late, so we didn't do anything that night.

On Saturday, we decided we were going to go to Pancake Pantry for brunch, but it was so busy we decided to try something else. We landed on pizza. It was really good! We did half pepperoni, half buffalo chicken. The place is called NY Pie.

We did a little shopping, and then had dinner at Green Hills Grille.

Sunday, we headed to the mall! I tried this dress on at Nordstrom just for fun. I thought it was so pretty! I tried on a small, and it was a touch loose in the top.

I thought I was trying this one on for fun too, but I ended up getting it! I think I'll wear it to a wedding or two this summer! I'm in a 6.

We had lunch at RH Cafe. If you go, you have to try either the lobster roll or the ribeye, and definitely get the truffle fries! SO good!!

It's so pretty in there!

Here's the lobster roll! Delish!

I was on the hunt for an Easter dress. Only one dress at Nordstrom caught my eye (THIS Farm Rio, here. SO pretty! I would have gotten an xsmall.), but I wanted to look at J. Crew before I bought one. I saw this blue dress and fell in love! I got a 4. It's on sale online!

We got in the hot tub when we got back to the house! After that, we ordered takeout from Teriyaki Madness- it was so so good!

Monday for lunch, we decided on Mexican. We really love Mexican if you couldn't tell 😂. This place was really good!!

The restaurant was right around the corner from The Graduate, so we decided to walk around and check it out.

Everything was so cute!

The bar wasn't open, so we just took pictures from the window!

The outdoor furniture was all so cute- and PINK!

After that, we went to Kittenish- Jessie James Decker's store. After that, we went back to the house to get ready for dinner.

Jeff Ruby's for dinner! Everything we ate was amazing! Especially the Dolly Roll sushi, truffle creamed corn, the donuts, and the Jack Daniel's chocolate cake. YUM! I definitely ate waaayyyyy too much!

I thought the butter was cute 😂. Half was regular, and the other half was an herb butter.

The wine glasses were cute too!

We left Tuesday morning, but we made a stop by Trader Joe's first! You can see some of what I got in this post here.

We had such a fun time!! If you want to read about our trip to Nashville last summer, you can read those here- Part One | Part Two | Part Three

Thanks for reading! Have a great day!

Happy Friday, friends!! How was your week? One of my summer classes started this week, so I have been getting back into a bit of a routine which is nice! As always, I am linking up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from the week.  How cute is our new wreath sash?? My mom got it for us, and I am obsessed! Lots of food faves this week.... Another salsa I am now obsessed with! I found this at Aldi, and y'all it is SO good! I used it in a recipe, but I am definitely going to get another jar to eat for a snack or with lunch or dinner! Now for a Tik Tok "recipe". I used quotations, because it's really just a chop/open a can and throw together situation. Corn, black beans, pinto beans, onion, tomato, cilantro. I ate it with tortilla chips for lunch this week. It was so good! Next time, I would add more tomato and use less onion (maybe even no onion at all), and I should have chopped up the cilantro a little better! I also squeezed in some lime juice and added salt a...

Happy last Friday of August! As always, I am here to link up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from my week.  To be honest, it feels out of touch to make this post. After the devastating news of yet another school shooting, my heart is so heavy. Innocent lives taken and still no changes from people in power. I honestly do not know how anyone can see news like this and not be enraged and demanding for change. I do not get political on here, because that is not what I want for this space. However, I feel the need to share my thoughts about this. America needs gun control. ALL Americans need access to healthcare, especially when it comes to mental health. America needs change. Remember these things when you vote. Think about your babies, their friends, their teachers. Stay aware, stay educated. But also please make sure you spend time doing things that bring you joy (it's good for your mental health!). That is at least what I am going to do. With that being said, here ar...
