Let's Look: May 2024

Happy Wednesday!! I'm back a few days early from my blog break to bring you the May edition of LET'S LOOK! I'm linking up with Shay and Erika for this fun monthly blog series.

In January, we "looked" at How We Clean Our Closets.

In February, we "looked" at Little Things We Do Every Single Day.

In March, we "looked" at Our Grocery Carts.

In April, we "looked" at Our Daily Quiet Time.

Today, we are "looking" at.....

OUR SUMMER CLOSET STAPLES!

Summer is my favorite time of the year as far as fashion!! Here are the things I have to have in my closet during these super warm months!

SUNDRESSES

Fun, floral, colorful, comfy, casual, dressy...literally all. the. things. Sundresses are the best! They cover all the bases, and they're super cute! I get most of my dresses from Mimi Seabrook, Amazon, or other random boutiques!

THROW ON DRESS

I love a good striped dress that I can throw on to feel a bit more put together. Y'all. This one came from Aldi last year 😂. You can find a dress like this just about anywhere. Think Old Navy, Gap, Target, Amazon...

CUTE TOPS

I love a fun floral top for summer to wear with shorts or jeans. I get these the same places I get my sundresses. This one in the picture is Shop the Mint.

PLAIN OR STRIPED TEES

I looooove a plain or striped tee to throw on with shorts, jeans, or skirts. This one is Caslon from Nordstrom- my fave! I also love J. Crew and Target for tees.

DENIM SHORTS

I live in either a dress or denim shorts all summer. These are from Target last year, and I love them!! I do not spend a ton on shorts!

WHITE SHORTS

These are from SAM'S! White shorts feel a touch dressier than denim in my opinion.

TENNIS SKIRTS

I have pretty much gotten rid of all athletic shorts and replaced them with tennis skirts! I just love them much more than shorts. This one is Pop Flex. I may or may not have bought it because Taylor Swift has it in purple.......

CARDIGAN

This seems wrong for the summer, I know. BUT this is the time of year when everyone cranks the AC, and it's freezing in church, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. I was on the lookout for a cardigan I could throw on that would still be kind of cute with dresses and cute outfits. I got the newest Taylor Swift cardigan, but I've seen several other cute ones at boutiques and such that have this same look.

GRESHAM

If you've been here for a while, you probably know that I love my Gresham bracelets. These are perfect for summer, because they're great to wear in the pool, ocean, while working out, etc. So many color options!!

NEUTRAL FLAT SANDALS

I need a sandal that I could wear every single day if needed. I got these from Target this year, but I also have the Sam Edelman Bay sandals that I wear nearly every day! These sandals are great with shorts, jeans, dresses, skirts, everything!

ESPADRILLE WEDGES

I love an espadrille for summer, and these are neutral, a good height, comfortable, and from WALMART! They are back again this year and in several colors! These are also great to wear with any outfit!

ONE PIECE SWIMSUIT

Of course, we all need a swimsuit for the summer. I am one piece girl through and through. I love these that I got from Target earlier this year. I've also gotten cute ones from J. Crew in the past.

Have a great Wednesday!!

Friday Favorites {10.18.24}

Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! Ummm YAY!! I'm most excited about Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Angela from The Office is starring in that one!) and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story! For some foodie faves... This right here. It made my week. I'm obsessed with the tuna from Beagle Bagel. It's amazing. I can never say it enough! I made egg drop soup for the lunch the other day, and it was really good! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...

Let's Look: September 2024

Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...
