What's Up Wednesday {July 2024}

 Happy Wednesday!! How is it already the last day of July?? I know, I say it literally every single month. But goodness July went by fast! I'm linking up with Sheaffer and Shay today for What's Up Wednesday! 1: WHAT WE'RE EATING THIS WEEK Monday night Caleb made breakfast. Last night we had a frozen pizza. Which has become a weekly thing around here. Tonight Caleb is doing chicken on the Blackstone, and I made a pasta salad to go with it. Tomorrow night will be tacos. Past that, I'm not too sure. 2: WHAT I'M REMINISCING ABOUT I've been getting all the one year memory pics from our trip to Nashville last summer, and it's making me wish we were back there! In case you want to reminisce along with me... PART ONE | PART TWO | PART THREE 3: WHAT I'M LOVING I'm going to mention these twice in this post, so just pretend I'm not nuts. Really did not know I could ever be so obsessed with SHEETS. But, here I am. 4: WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO Hmmm. Not a

 Happy Tuesday!! Here's a little OOTD for you today.... I wanted to share these pieces before the NSale is over!! Here is the tshirt. It's so soft and so perfect. And the jeans.... these are a darker wash than mine , but I love this style and brand SO MUCH. I even have a hole in these and refuse to get rid of them 😂. P.S. Shirt is tts, size down in the jeans! Have a great day!!

Hello Monday {7.29.24}

 Hello Monday!! How was your weekend? Yesterday was Caleb's birthday, and we went to Madison to spend the weekend with our families. I'm linking up with Holly and Sarah for Hello Monday! A little funny to start of my Friday! Anyone else?? Saturday morning coffee from a cute mug of my MILs. We headed to a local spot for a late breakfast. It's cute in there! Twisted Turnip for anyone local! My food was delish! I had a hot honey chicken biscuit with gouda grits. YUM. Everyone else said their food was great too! And then we were off to see this little one. He's got an obsession with digging for worms. So we did that for a loooong time. And then we had popsicles. And then we jumped on the trampoline while listening to Taylor Swift. It was HOT but it was FUN. Reid starts Kindergarten this week, and I just cannot handle it. Caleb's dad grilled steaks Saturday night, and they were great as always! Caleb's mom asked him what cake he wanted for his bday, and he requested

Friday Favorites {7.26.24}

 Happy Friday!! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some favorites from my week! My #1 fave of the week...hands down. These sheets. They are fabulous! I cannot stand a super soft or silky sheet. These sheets are percale and perfect! They are crisp, cool, and make me feel like I'm sleeping in a fancy hotel bed. I've been so excited to go to sleep every night this week 😂. I got the Blue Hydrangea. My Wednesday morning was quite lovely. I got up early, drank two cups of coffee, and watched Something's Gotta Give while it rained. That is my idea of a perfect morning! I have been getting so bored with my lunches lately, so I decided to mix it up with a grilled cheese dipped in spicy mayo the other day. YUM. I saw this quote on Instagram the other day, and I loved it. I love when people's homes are personal with things like family photos and pieces that have a rich history! Have a great weekend!!

Monthly Musings {July 2024}

 Happy Thursday!! I'm linking up with Holly and Patty today for the July edition of Monthly Musings! How are we already at the end of July??? 1. We've been to the beach twice, and Caleb and I are hopefully going on a trip sometime in the next couple weeks....work permitting! 2. My favorite thing from this summer was hands down, our family beach trip to Grayton! It was so. much. fun!!! 3. Dresses, dresses, and more dresses!! Short, long, dressed up, dressed down, tennis dresses, sun dresses, shift dresses....all the dresses. I also love just a simple tee and jeans outfit like this one! 4. Gresham bracelets! These are my absolute favorite for all year, but especially summer. You can "swim, sweat, shower" in them, plus they can be worn dressed up or down! 5. These flats from Target... Or, I still love my Birkenstocks and wear them quite often. The Target flats are great for sooo many outfits, though. I usually wear the Birks very casually. I'm not seeing the exact

Joy in the Simplicity

 Happy Wednesday! How's your week going? I am ready for Friday! I'm actually ready for NEXT Friday, because I'll be done with my summer classes. I have a few posts on my blog about gratitude , romanticizing my life, making daily life special, and I have a JOY list.  I really do try to live by all of those things, but somedays I can get caught up in life and easily forget. So, I'm here today to remind you (but especially myself!!) to find joy in the simplicity!! This is my view as I'm typing this post. P.S. the ladder should be outta here after tomorrow 😂. BUT. So many of my favorite things are in this picture. To start, a lamp. I can't say enough how much I love a lamp. Or can I?? Anyway, I love that table in front of the window. I love our house. I love the pink vintage placemats on our kitchen table. And I especially love the rain. It's hard to tell, but it was raining pretty hard when I took this. Here's something I've been doing lately that I re

Watched Lately

 Happy Tuesday, friends! Todays post is short and sweet- yesterday was just a lot as far as school work goes. Booooo. Almost done with summer classes, though!! Ok, here are two things I have watched lately and my thoughts on them. First up, Derry Girls. I put off watching this show for a few months, because I thought I wouldn't like it. Nicola Coughlan being the star of Bridgerton Season 3 really got people talking about this show! So, I finally gave in. Four Derry Girls and one English boy make for the perfect little friend group. I thought this show was absolutely adorable and SO funny! It is, dare I say, one of my new favorites that I will likely watch again and again and again! If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it. It's only 3 seasons, each with only 6 or 7 episodes, so it's quick, but it sure does pack in a lot of goodness! And now for a movie. This was sooooo good! It was sweet. It was sad. It was heartwarming. Plus, Candace Cameron Bure with a VERY south

Hello Monday {7.22.24}

 Happy Monday!! I'm linking up with Holly and Sarah today to share all about my weekend! Friday started off suuuuper wild.... I bout this cute little lamp from Marshalls. In case you didn't know, I'm in love with lamps 😂. And then it was Friday night Mexican!! Our fave one (out of 8 I think in our tiny town). I did a little refresh in one of our guest bathrooms. I think it turned out cute and cozy! Saturday morning, Caleb and I headed to Walmart to get a few things he needed to take to a job site on campus. Then, Caleb's parents came into town to celebrate his birthday a little early. We ate at one of our favorite spots in Starkville! And then got ice cream at another fave place! I did a little school work while we all watched golf. Caleb's grandmother sent this for me....I mean she knows me well 😂. I had some afternoon tea in my fancy teacup! Sunday morning coffee and golf. I slept in until 9:45 😆. A pink moment 💗. I haven't eaten Jimmy Johns in yearssss, b
