Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another edition of LET'S LOOK with Shay and Erika

In January, we LOOKED at Scheduling/Organizing.

In February, we LOOKED at What's In Our Medicine Cabinets.

In March, we LOOKED at our All Time Favorite Amazon Finds.

In April, we LOOKED at our Biggest Pet Peeves.

In May, we LOOKED at our Morning Routines.

In June, we LOOKED at Our Best Travel Tips.

In July, we LOOKED at Our New Summer Finds.

I missed out on August 😕.

In September, we LOOKED at Our Evening Routines.

As for today, we are LOOKING AT our.....

BIGGEST FEARS (irrational and NOT!).

Ok, friends. I have lots and lots of irrational fears. Like really irrational. In no particular order I fear.....

Snakes. Eeeeekkkkk!! Like I'm afraid a snake will one day slither right up next to me in bed. WHY???

Frogs. GROSS! If I see a frog, I'm running. What if it jumps on me??!

I'm slightly embarrassed to admit...THE DARK. Or what might be lurking in the dark. I'm not a huge fan of being anywhere but my bed when it's super dark at night. And yes, I sleep with a night light on 😂.

I think this next one could really be considered not so irrational. It's just the fact that almost every time I leave my house, I'm afraid it will burn down. Or that it will get robbed.

This one is a little silly. But I can't help it. If I'm in a restaurant and hang my purse on the chair, I'm afraid someone will come by and swipe it or drop an AirTag in it. See? Silly. And probably nothing I should ever worry about, but I do.

Ok, enough of the silly ones. I'm sure I have a gazillion more random/dumb/VERY irrational fears, but I think you've read enough 😂.

For the bigger things, I try SO hard not to worry and just give it all to God. He holds everything in his hands, and I should step back and give him my doubts/worries/troubles....let go and let GOD.

However, I am human. And I fail at that.

I worry that bad things will happen to my family. I worry for their health and safety. I want to be able to keep them safe always, but that isn't for me to do (or worry about). When I face this, I take time to pray and remember that no matter what, God's got this.

I think that just about sums up what runs through my head everyday 😂. So, what are YOUR biggest fears???

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all have a great WEDNESDAY!

Friday Favorites {10.18.24}

Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! Ummm YAY!! I'm most excited about Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Angela from The Office is starring in that one!) and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story! For some foodie faves... This right here. It made my week. I'm obsessed with the tuna from Beagle Bagel. It's amazing. I can never say it enough! I made egg drop soup for the lunch the other day, and it was really good! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...

Let's Look: September 2024

Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...
