Friday Favorites {5.31.24}

 Well happy last day of May! How did this month fly by so quickly?? I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from the week! These two necklaces are my absolute fave of the week! I shared these in my What's Up Wednesday post earlier this week. I've worn them every day no matter what I've worn. Both are from Amazon! Beaded necklace | Shell necklace On Wednesdays we wear PINK! And I was quite pinked out on this past Wednesday! My pink tennis dress is from Target! I would suggest sizing up one. My lunches have looked like this lately! Yum! Egg salad, pimento cheese (I made the Master's recipe!) and pasta salad! And this has been either my snack or breakfast! I really need to buy fresh fruit more often!! Now for a little review of my $2.99 Pinot Noir from Winn Dixie. Obviously, it was not going to be the best PN ever, but for three dollars it was actually pretty good! The brand is SunBay Cellars. If you're looking for a good one, my favorite br

Navarre Recap

 Happy Thursday! This past weekend, I was in Navarre, Florida- here's what we did! My mom's best friend lives near Navarre, and we went for her son's high school graduation. We also got in a beach day and some good quality time with our favorite people! It's very fitting that this is the first picture I took while we were there! Mrs. Angel makes the BEST key lime pie in the world!! I have made her recipe countless times, and although it is really good, it just isn't the same as when she makes it! We always bring Beagle Bagel for them. They used to live in Madison, and it's their fave! After graduation, we ate at McGuire's. It was almost 10pm before we ate, but it was soooo good! It was my first time there. We somehow ended up in our own little private room! The time stamp on this picture is 10:05- whew! I had the spicy chicken sandwich, and that sauce was amazing! The waiter said I really needed to dip the sandwich in ranch, so he brought me some and it real

What's Up Wednesday {May 2024}

 How are we already at the end of May?? This year is flying right by! I'm linking up with Sheaffer and Shay to share all about our MAY! 1: WHAT WE'RE EATING THIS WEEK Not a clue. I just got home yesterday from the beach, and we have no food. Like none at all. This was my lunch yesterday. And then we had Panda Express for dinner 😂. I guess I'll head to the grocery store today to grab a few things! 2: WHAT I'M REMINISCING ABOUT This view! I am not a huge beach person, but I do love this view! 3: WHAT I'M LOVING New skincare! I've used Caudalie before, and I decided to get it again since I liked it so much. It's all pretty clean and smells so good. 4: WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO While I was at the beach, Caleb was working and playing golf. 5: WHAT I'M DREADING My summer classes start next week....booooooo. 6: WHAT I'M WORKING ON This. Getting everything unpacked, washed, put away, etc. I started on it yesterday, but then I took a nap.... 7: WHAT I'M

Friday Favorites {5.24.24.}

 Finally Friday!! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today for Friday Favorites!! My number one fave for the day is that I'm headed to the beach this afternoon to see some of our favorite people! We're going for a graduation, but we'll also get in some beach and pool time! I think I shared this wine earlier this week....Chardonnay is my favorite white wine, and I like to try out different brands. This one is definitely a new favorite! When I was packing for the beach, I decided I should probably add a new J. Crew swimsuit to my collection. The one I have is super comfy, fits well, COVERS well (I have to have the coverage😂), and it's great quality!! I looked on their website, and they have several (maybe all?) on sale. I'm loving this one! Since we'll be gone for a long weekend, I'll see y'all back here on Wednesday! Have a great weekend!

My "Low Maintenance" Manicure

 Happy Thursday!! How's your week going? I'm getting ready for a weekend trip to Florida, and I wanted to share one thing I'm doing to prepare! I didn't want to go get a manicure at the nail salon, but I don't want to have to worry about my nails all weekend either. So, here's what I'm calling my "low maintenance" at home manicure. When my nails are long, I feel like they chip easier. So, I cute them down pretty short. I did two coats of OPI Nail Envy as a base coat. Then, I did three coats of Essie Ballet Slippers. I finished with a coat of Seche gel top coat. Since Ballet Slippers is such a light color, it won't show too bad if my nails start growing out or if any chip. With how many coats of polish I have though, it should not chip (or in my experience it usually doesn't). Another bonus is that this color looks great with anything I will wear all weekend! Have a great day!

Foldable Treadmill Review

 Happy Wednesday! I'm here today to give you a review of my new foldable treadmill, walking pad, whatever you wanna call it! Most of the time, I pull it in the living room, so I can watch tv while I walk on it. I store it in our office and sometimes I will walk on it in there and just listen to music. The cord is very short, and I have to keep it super close to whatever outlet I'm using- I don't love that. I added a magnetic cup holder to the side, and it fits both my 30 and 40 ounce Stanley cups nicely. Here's an up close view of the buttons and phone holder. I do keep my phone in there while I'm walking, but I don't ever watch anything on my phone while walking, because it's pretty low. If you are shorter this may not be a huge issue for you. Overall, I do really having this! I like how convenient it is to move from room to room as opposed to a regular treadmill. I try to walk at least a mile a day, but sometimes I do more. I just realized my exact one is

Book Review: It Ends With Us

 Happy Tuesday! I'm here with a book review for you!! If you want to check out all of my book reviews, you can find them here. So, have we all seen the trailer for the movie?? Well, I love Blake Lively, so I want to see the movie! But, if you remember, I read Verity last year and absolutely hated it. Hated it. I told myself I'd never read another Colleen Hoover book again. I decided to give her another try, and I will say she definitely redeemed herself with this one. I will give Colleen Hoover this- she reels me in from the very first sentence and keeps my interest until the very last. I did read Verity in one day. And I stayed up until 2am to finish It Ends With Us 😬😂. I rarely ever to do that with a book. In fact, I really can't think of another one I've read so quickly. I really did love this book. It was hard to read. But it was really good. It was sad, but there were sweet and happy moments. I don't think it was unnecessarily raunchy- but it is definitely ra

Hello Monday {5.20.24}

 Hello Monday!! How was your weekend? We had a busy but fun one- I'm linking up with Holly and Sarah to share all about it! My Friday night drink of choice. I had never had this Chardonnay before, but I decided to try it and it may be a new favorite! Saturday was graduation for Caleb's sister and for my sister's boyfriend. They had I think 313 graduating seniors- crazy!! I think I had somewhere around 250 in mine- and I was on the last row with my W last name 😂. Look who sat right behind me! So proper 😂. Of course with an iPad and a bar- his two faves! I asked him whose iPad that was, and he looked at me like I had lost my mind and said "it's mine!" Ha! And then we ended up at none other than Mexican!! We were only in town for the day, so we went home right after we ate. I thought I would sit on the back porch for a bit when we got home, but the bugs were insane! So, I made my way inside to my current fave spot- by the window in my swivel rocker! Sunday, Cal

Friday Favorites {5.17.24}

 It's FriYAY! As always, I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea to share some favorites from the week! I've been trying to drink less soda, and Olipop has helped me to do that! I have loved most of the flavors I've tried, and this one is a new favorite!! I got one on Sunday night, because I saw it and wanted to try it. I went back the next day and bought all they had left 😂. It's sooo good! I'm hoping it's here to stay! Another week, another fun new nail color I'm obsessing over! It's reading very orange in this picture, but it's a little more red in person. It's OPI We Seafood and Eat It. I was on the hunt for Cajun Shrimp, but it was sold out. I thought this one was similar enough and fun for summer! I think I have shared this cookbook from Jessie James Decker before, but I am planning to make some recipes from it next week. So, I thought I would share it again! I also love her first cookbook, Just Feed Me. Most of her recipes are super simp
