Let's Look: June 2024

It's my favorite link up day!! It's time for the June 2024 edition of Let's Look! I'm linking up with Erika and Shay today.

In January, we "looked" at How We Clean Our Closets.

In February, we "looked" at Little Things We Do Every Single Day.

In March, we "looked" at Our Grocery Carts.

In April, we "looked" at Our Daily Quiet Time.

In May, we "looked" at Our Summer Closet Staples.

As for today, we are "looking" at.......

OUR SUMMER SCHEDULE!

Well. As someone who does not work and who does not have children, my summer is super slow and a little boring. So, here's what my summer is looking like so far....

I am taking two classes this summer, one this month and one next month. Luckily, there is not a ton of work for this first class I'm taking. There are some days that I do not look at my school work at all, and there are some days when I work on it all afternoon.

We're headed to the beach in a few weeks!! (And in light of recent events, I will absolutely not be stepping foot in the ocean 😅) Other than that, we don't have any trips planned. Caleb and I are looking at going to Charleston at the end of the summer, though.

Does watching Bridgerton all day count as part of my schedule?? I mean, I have been looking forward to it for quite some time. Part Two is out TOMORROW, and if you need me, I'll be in front of the tv 🙂.

My blogging schedule remains the same, unless I am out of town. I'm here Monday-Friday, and my posts normally go live at 4 am.

As far as working out, I try to do that in the mornings. I worked out Monday, but not Tuesday. So, I will probably be working out today.

On a normal week, I go to the store on Monday morning. If Caleb is not working on Sunday, we go together after church. There are some weeks though that I don't get to the store until later in the week, and I regret it each time 😂. Monday morning, the second they open is the best time to visit Aldi in Starkville. And now this picture has me wishing for a Trader Joe's trip!

See? Quite boring- ha! Have a happy Wednesday!

  1. I am kinda like you only a lot older- I don´t work and though I do have kids, they are licensed, employed, have significant others they spend time, lots of friends, etc. meaning they don´t need much from their mama :(. (Though we do spent time together, thankfully!). My youngest was on Kiawah Island, SC last week and in the ocean every day. When she came home she said she was so glad to read about the ¨ocean events¨ after she got home from her trip!

Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! Ummm YAY!! I'm most excited about Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Angela from The Office is starring in that one!) and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story! For some foodie faves... This right here. It made my week. I'm obsessed with the tuna from Beagle Bagel. It's amazing. I can never say it enough! I made egg drop soup for the lunch the other day, and it was really good! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...

Let's Look: September 2024

Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...
